We had the good fortune of connecting with Conrad Randolph and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Conrad, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The grind to grow on YouTube. Most people don’t know the challenges us YouTubers go through to make our channel successful. Coming up with different content ideas and trying to stay original is not easy. Many other channels will be doing the same type of content making it competitive to draw in an audience. People are unaware of stuff like that

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I went through many different hurdles to be where I am in life. It was challenging honestly. I never imagined I would have a career in both IT and my own podcast show. My dreams of doing podcast related work started in high school. That dream lead me into majoring in journalism in my undergraduate years. I eventually landed my first news job for WJBF NewsChannel 6 in Augusta Ga. That was where I hoping to begin my dream. Unfortunately, it did not happen. I never really had a chance to talk sports or anything on tv during my time there. But, I learned new journalism skills that has greatly benefited my YouTube career thus far. I mastered editing, using cameras and learn how to produce shows. I didn’t get to do my dream work but my time at the station was definitely preparing for a future in YouTube. I eventually left there after never getting the opportunity to land a full time job in the news industry. After a year of being away from any journalism work, I landed a job in my current IT position. I love my job because it taught me so much on computers that had greatly benefited my YouTube channel. After realizing the free time I have in my new career, I decided to chase after my teenage dream doing podcasts and talking sports by creating my on YouTube channel. This is how my YouTube channel: the_legend350, my gaming podcast show: The Legendary Duo, and my sport podcast show: NBA Talk with Legend350 was born. That’s how I got to where I am now. Building my own gaming and sport community on YouTube. It was hard going through my up and downs and almost giving up on my dream. But I never gave up especially after being told to consider YouTube work on the side of my IT work. What I learned was to never give up and be open minded. Be willing to do things you never thought of to reach your goal. I want the world to know I reached my goal differently then expected. Be willing to achieve goals differently then you originally planned

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spot in the city Atlanta would definitely be going downtown to attend Atlanta hawks game or during the summer, going to college park to attend Atlanta Dream game. The atmosphere is amazing! It’s a great place for basketball fans to enjoy top notch basketball and good outings to enjoy if your not a sport fan

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I say my co host of my Friday night gaming podcast show: The Legendary Duo.. Maddrex his YouTube name. He talked me into giving the YouTube career a try when I was just a viewer on his YouTube channel a few years back. He gave me so much advice towards being a content creator. I wouldn’t be where I am in the youtube space without my good friend drex. I appreciate everything he has done and now maddrex has become not only my co-host for the podcast but also a life long friend. A friendship I truly appreciate and bless to have
