We had the good fortune of connecting with Co-Owners : High Clazz Cuts Barbershop Edroce Ross and Keegan Gates and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Co-Owners : High Clazz Cuts Barbershop Edroce Ross and Keegan Gates, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The whole thought process behind starting our own business was inspired from childhood dreams of being independent and self sustainable. Both my business partner and myself have also owned separate businesses within our portfolio.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a Business Owner it takes a lot of sleepless nights to get everything done. Being a business owner is not for the weak….tough skin is a must! Some of Challenges included finding a great location for the business. Location of a business is extremely important. Finding finances to keep the business was also a challenge. Being financially stable is also extremely important to the success of your business. Planning and working with a great business partner and employees is just as important as location and financial stability in business success. Lots of prayer and patience is key to making each day successful as an entrepreneur.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite things to do in Atlanta on a fun night include: St. James Live, Poor Calvin’s Restaurant, Putt Shack, Top Golf, Sparkles Skating Rink(adult night), No Mas! Cantina, Two Urban Licks , The Breakfast Club and The Painted Duck!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to give thanks to all the people that keep our business successful. Our business would not of been successful if it were not for : Tonya, Ryan, Lamont, Pete, Champ, Caron and Jamel! All of the barbers are so dedicated to the success of the barbershop! My family and friends have also been extremely supportive in the success of the barbershop. High Clazz Cuts Barbershop would not be as successful as it is today… 1 year after opening…without the hard work, commitment and support of all our family and friends. It truly does take a village to keep a business afloat and successful. We appreciate every customer and we want every visit to the barbershop to be an awesome experience.
