We had the good fortune of connecting with CLRCUT and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CLRCUT, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want inspire people to pursue their dreams and believe in their capabilities, we all have something meaningful to share for the world, and art is a great way to do so. I want my legacy to be a path of inspiration, I’m from Costa Rica, which is a country where corporate work is “the only way to succeed”, artists are not really taken seriously around here, so I want to be an example for my people and allow them to believe that art is also a way to succeed, it is not only about the money but most importantly the impact you make in others lives. I want to help Costa Rican artists to share their art and vision to the world. Believing in yourself, discipline and work is what creates the vision. I want to be remembered as example of believing in yourself and that dreams can come true.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
First off, I grew playing football/soccer in Costa Rica, it thought me a lot about discipline, work and dedication, being around coaches and teammates also supported my skills working around people. After long time I decided to stop my football career and dedicate my time to create art, most specifically music.
Since then I’ve been producing, making “fantasy remix albums” and directing, recently I’ve gotten more involved in shooting music videos and helping artists bring their visions to life.
I’m really proud of the remix albums I’ve dropped, they all have over a 100k views, but now I’m leaving that path behind and focusing more on helping artists to grow and produce more house music.
I’m really excited for the future, I can see a lot of opportunities coming so I’m focusing on improving everyday by making music, djing, directing, and again, helping artists to grow.
What football taught me is what has given me the strength to overcome different challenges that I’ve had, through discipline, work and self believe.
CLRCUT represents believing in yourself no matter what comes in the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, for Atlanta, I really don’t know where I would take them, in my opinion Atlanta does not have much to do LOL, I would probably take them out to some clubs and some restaurants. For Costa Rica, I would definitely take them to beach for some time, and different places around nature, Costa Rica has everything.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to all the Cyks, they are all going crazy, I really like S1orDie we have been working together for a long time, shout to him, check out his recent tapes Never trust a Vogue Gyal, V1 and V2. I produced and directed them.
