Meet Cloud Nine

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cloud Nine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cloud, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my business, is to be there for people and to make them feel comfortable. Some people think tattoos is just ink on your body and it’s more than that, it’s a story. Tattoos speak volumes it’s the trust, and therapy that comes with it. The success of it is to always make people feel like they have a safe space with me. I have created a lot of friendships with my clients just by offering a service that has helped people move on or forward from whatever I have tattooed on them.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I take a lot of pride and honor to be apart of the tattoo community, because we are sometimes looked frowned upon, when the end goal for us artists is to make our clients happy with something they will have on their body for the rest of their lives. I got to where i am today, by never giving up. I wanted to plenty of times .. when things got hard but I just think about the impacts of which my art has on people and that’s what keeps me going. Things in life are never easy, but always worth trying.
NEVER GIVE UP! if it’s what you truly want.
The lessons I have learned .. people will be happy for you and people will only want to be around because of what you can offer, but always know real recognize real.
I want the world to know that I am a FEMALE tattoo artist that can keep up in this male industry, and I strive to be someone to remember to the community and my clients. I don’t do this for the money, I do this for the satisfaction of making my clients happy.
I went through a lot in my early years and as life went on. Tattooing saved my life , without tattooing I wouldn’t be here right now having this interview. I owe it all to the hustle.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love outdoors, food and dancing! Which my bestfriend and I are the same person. But I would take her everywhere all the good foods and parks! We love nature and chill vibes. The mountains, the trails, and all the downtown eats in the city!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my mentor Danny Cruz! He believed in me and gave me my first real opportunity into a shop and to help me grow my business with his expertise of being in the game for so long! All of my friends and people who just believed in me to be great are the ones i owe a huge thank you to for believing in me when I barely did!
