We had the good fortune of connecting with Clemesha Pruitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Clemesha, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote is a saying that I strongly stand on, “It’s already written.” Meaning whatever path you decide to take on this journey called life remember the outcome is already written. Whether the choice is good or bad right or wrong the end game is decided as it’s the life God created for each and every one of us. It’s already written no matter what hard obstacles may stand in my way my I have a strong faith the end game is written exactly how god planned it to be. If you’re a strong believer that god does things for certain reasons and those dreams you’re chasing will come true, claim it. It’s already written !

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an aspiring actress which is the overall reasoning for relocating to ATL. However I do have many talents that are attached to me such as music artist, dancer, model and actress. These aren’t things that have accumulated recently, I’ve been doing all since I was about under the age 5. What sets me apart from others would be my unique personality as everyone no on shares the same personality. I am still not where I want to be of course but the reason I am this far is because of god. It has not always been easy because I come from a rough area and traumatic things have happened in my life but I have never been one to give up. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is no matter what don’t quit because once you let the devil think he has one then you let him beat you. I want the world to know that I am just like you, I started like you from the bottom and overcame my challenges. If there is something you want to succeed at you must believe in yourself and that you can do it because if you don’t have faith in yourself no one will.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am still relatively new to ATL and have so many more places to explore. However the first thing they would have to eat is American Deli and I mean the hot wings ! Absolutely the best of course and the pasta from Frost Bistro. The night life is great here as there are many places I still will have to check out but you can not miss brunch at Oak ATL on a Sunday, major shout out to PartyWitPB. Atlanta is not all about the nightlife as I do enjoy the outdoors and my favorite place to go is the waterfall at Roswell Mills.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The first person I must give credit to is of course God himself. Without God I would not have the strength, patience and life I have today. My mother will be the second person I must credit as she is my biggest fan and number one supporter. The life and dreams I am adventuring towards are the same ones my mom had when she was my age. However, overall I appreciate those that support me and have had faith in me throughout the years and continuing as I have relocated from E. Saint Louis, IL to Atlanta, GA. I moved to ATL with my family the Barnards as they have watched me shine since I was a little girl and know that I am on to some big things. My family is my support system. I am grateful for everyone who see’s the star in me.
