We had the good fortune of connecting with Chynelle Brownlee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chynelle, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote is “ make it make sense”
Logically thinking, anything that makes sense will evolve. Anything that doesn’t make sense I try and stay away from. Let’s be clear, nothing good comes from a place of confusion.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is CHC Luxury Head Spa & Salon. We are located in Lawrenceville on Grayson Highway, inside Phenix Salon Suites. We specialize in scalp treatments and massage, natural hair and luxury extensions. What set us apart from other businesses is how we are able to evolve and stay update with the latest trends while not compromising the integrity of our clients hair. As a passionate business owner you have to make it make sense. I had to figure out what services I could add to my business and it still be economical sufficient for everyone. Services that will make me stand out from the many stylist in Georgia. This was not easy but a must to continue running a successful business.This is where the head spa & salon idea came from In 2023. And came to life July 2024. Adding services without having to compromise the integrity of my business will always be a win. Now my clients are able to comfortably lay down while being shampooed and steam services. I also implemented mandatory consultation with our scalp analyzer so that we can get to the root of the problem. Besides being able to offer relief and educate my clients on their scalp and hair, they are able to relax and unwind with our scalp treatments and massage. Most of our head spa clients fall asleep because they are so relaxed and comfortable. I have learned along the way to not take things so personal I’ve also learned that it could be a thousand people doing the same thing you are, but their is only one you. I would want people to know how passionate I am about people and my business. Because I know how it feels to be down, It fulfills me to make my clients smile and feel good about themselves. Being a light in this world is needed.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta has some of the best barbecue places and entertainment spots. Smokezsoulfood on Candler Road is my go to spot for ribs and soul food and Atlantic Station for entertainment. The beautiful Botanical Gardens for a nice outside adventure. Lennox mall is always exciting and I love The Cheesecake Factory at that location.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank and dedicate this article to my clients and students that have trusted me over the past 20 years. Without their trust in my skills and humility, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
