We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrome Rager and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chrome, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
My goal has always been to have freedom in whatever job I take. The job should feel like something you are doing for fun, not something you have to suffer through just for the end result. Being a graphic designer allows me to be express my or others ideas visually. Creative freedom equals unlimited forms of expressing yourself. I hope my work can be in stores, on tv, outside, on posters, apps, etc.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My designs right now are really sport/music based but I plan to expand. I’m excited for the future but also staying present to the moment. I see myself working with big names but it’s always one step at a time. Hours and money put in is just an investment for the opportunity’s to come. Only challenge I faced on the media side was losing 1k followers after switching from a meme page to a design page. I understand though because it’s totally different content and it may not be for the same people. I’ve learned that patience is a big part of this and I can see my page as resume I’m building for networking. What I want world to know about my page is that it’s going to grow to different heights. Just watch the process slowly.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not in the heart of La but I would probably go there. I think the vibe matters more than the place. The restaurants don’t have to be crazy. Definitely would like to go to staple center for a concert or Laker game. Then go to Melrose and Fairfax to shop. Some Nature areas will a lot of green would be peaceful. I would also like to go to some art gallery’s.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Family. I am always allowed to create what I want when I want. My family has always supported my ideas and never turned me down. My inspiration really just comes from seeing others succeed. Whether it’s someone starting their own business or someone making the NBA. I love documentary’s that shows all the hard work that’s not seen in order to be successful. Shoutout Eckart Tolle.
