We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina, what matters most to you?
I can’t pinpoint just one specific value, but I can definitely list my top three most important values that matter to me personally and professionally. Number one: Accessibility, I can’t tell you how many horror stories I’ve read or heard about from clients getting ghosted or having to reach out multiple times before any communication is received back. I also can’t tell you how many times that has happened to me. It is such a scary and worrisome feeling when you’ve invested money into someone that has made you feel like you are not a priority. All my clients are a priority, as they should be. They are investing in me and my business, not only that we are building a relationship and I want each of my clients to be able to walk away feeling fulfilled, heard, and cared for.
Number two: Quality, I am continuously educating myself and honing my photography skills daily. My work and the quality of it speaks volumes, I want clients to know that they are going to get beautiful photos when they book with me. I may not be the cheapest photographer on the market, but I am also not the most expensive. I want my clients to feel confident in my work and also not feel as if they had to break the bank.
Number three: Provide the ultimate client experience! Every single client that I work with is an amazing person all their own. They are trusting me to capture some of the most monumental moments of their lives. In order to do that it means breaking down barriers and getting them comfortable in their own skin for the camera. I personally love getting to know my clients and learning about who they are. It helps me as a photographer give them the best most memorable experience ever. They aren’t just paying for great photos, their paying for a great experience.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the owner and operator of CJP based out of Atlanta, GA. I studied photography at Central Texas College and have been in the photography business for over 10 years. I started my business in Texas photographing military families, but have transitioned into weddings since moving back to Georgia. I truly care about each and every one of my clients, not on just a business relationship level, but a friendship as well. I am a natural care taker, so I make sure I over prepare and cover all the details with each session. I get to know each of my clients personally, whether its via phone call or in person. In the words of my friends and husband, I have a very spunky and bubbly personality, I definitely think this helps to bring ease and excitement to my clients on their big day. While working in Texas it was so hard to find a decent photographer that wouldn’t charge an arm and leg for photos, being from a military family I know how tight a of a budget they can have. I have made it my personal goal to provide high quality work at an affordable price. Weddings are they same, brides+grooms are already overwhelmed with everything that goes into planning, I am here to ease their stress as best I can, not break the bank and still provide them with beautiful memorable photos for a lifetime.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Rooftop Ponce City- This a super fun spot to hang and feel like a kid again, not to mention the food court and shops Claremont lounge- This is an ATL must, for an unforgettable night of partying and fun.
battery atlanta/ braves game- You can’t go wrong at the Battery, so many fun spots from the Dueling Piano bar to the Punch bowl social. The best part is you can also catch a ballgame there too! It really is a day full day outing.
The garden room- One of Atlanta’s hidden gems. Super great spot for insta content, even better drinks.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate this Shoutout to my Atlanta photography queens. These five amazing, inspiring ladies have helped me find my passion all over again for photography. I’ve also been able to learn so much from Brooke Jefferson and the courses she offers, she has really helped me find my voice and confidence in my work. Lastly, I have to shoutout to my husband. If not for him pushing me to follow my passion and love I would not be here.
