We had the good fortune of connecting with Christell Foote and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christell, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Having great people behind you that also support your brand. Without a support system you will feel so isolated in a role of power, leadership, management, you name it. You need to make sure you have your team behind you also advocating for you in your corner.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I signed with Click Models 10 years ago now with Atlanta Director, Jenni Nowak. You know with my height you would think I would be the “perfect” model, when actually I have been too tall for some jobs and have heard a lot of No’s. That’s where though I am so appreciative for my agency because they still believed in me and pushed forward my look and my brand. As not your average woman, I have overcome a lot of challenges in the modeling world but make sure to remind myself not to give up.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a big foodie, I’d have to take them to Bistro Niko for some lovely French cuisine for dinner to start. The next day we could visit the High Museum of Art and Ponce City Market, followed by dinner at Hal’s the steakhouse!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In my journey to the crown I think the cutting edge that helped me get there was my mentor and coach, Thom Brodeur. Thom helped me re-identify my “why” after years of resilience in the pageant industry, and helping me to focus in on finding my success.
