We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Bailey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chris, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
At the time, I wasnt really sure what i was doing. I was introduced to graphic design pretty early, and that really sparked something in me. The more freelance jobs that came my way, the more I knew I needed to create something of my own. A way for my own ideas, feelings, and perspectives to be felt. This need led me to creating Sober Outfitters.

What should our readers know about your business?
Sober Outfitters is a brand that stands on being unapologetically yourself. Our goal is to be a representation of self love and self expression, having a balance of mind, body , and soul. and most importantly using cannabis in healthy and responsible ways.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
-Little Five Points is always a unique experience, a place thats filled with creativity and positive energy. -Ponce City Market has amazing views and the food is something you have to get your hands on. Plus im probably the best mini golf player….ever!
-Piedmont Park, mainly because im a nature guy. Piedmont offers so many options of things to do, its difficult to find a dull moment there.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There has been three people throughout my journey that has had a major impact on me. The first is my mom, she has always been my biggest supporter and gives me the nudge i need. She also played a huge factor in the name and logo for Sober. I had to use eyedrops and cologne and pretend I wasnt smoking cannabis when i was 17. Second was my cousin Forrest, who introduced me to graphic design and entrepreneurship. Last but certainly not least, my wife Erica. She has helped cultivate my dreams and bring them to life in ways I couldnt have done alone.
