We had the good fortune of connecting with Chiron Beavers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chiron, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that I have been taught in my journey as an entrepreneur is to pray about everything, be discerning of those who you connect with both personal and business, and to stay true to the visions that God gave you.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I founded The FABSNetwork Atlanta in 2015. The organization was to connect female entrepreneurs with other women in business to partner and collaborate in their respective industries. When the pandemic hit, I begin going LIVE on social media to keep the women connected. This connection spun into the digital and print version birthed as. FABLife Magazine. The magazine circulated around the country and even into Africa. Along with the network and the magazine, several community initiatives were manifested to help youth in southwest Atlanta where I grew up.

I am most proud of the connections, growth and success that was achieved in bringing light to several women owned businesses around the country. As well as the lives of the youth that were blessed by our internship for girls and the Purpose For Prom Project.

It has definitely not been easy as I have had to start over and revamp several times. This has been a self educated experience and filled with many trials. With having to take a huge step back, reevaluate and pray over Gods vision given to me was reflective and eye opening. This personal sabbatical has been the greatest reward in overcoming the challenges that I have had to face both personally and professionally.

The lessons that I have learned is to first pray about EVERYTHING. Keep discerning connections and intentions along with blocking out the noise in order to truly focus.

I want my brand to be known as one that blesses the lives it touches and that others are inspired by me and The FABSNetwork’s entities.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a native of Atlanta. So, I always want to give a native experience both old and new. I would start by stopping at historical landmarks and showcase the rich history of so many beautiful black people in my city. Then we have to go to Paschals restaurant, tour the AU center/ HBCU campuses. We must go to Bankhead Seafood which has reopened. I grew up on that delicious food. We have to have a night out at the Atlanta City Winery for some great music fun. A requirement would also be to attended my church over at Word of Faith Cathedral. After church we can go to Six Flags or an Atlanta Falcons game. I am a part of 5 generations of Atlanta Falcons fans. I even announced their draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft in Nashville. There so many spots that I love, especially a rooftop. I would show my friends an eventful week for sure.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my shout out to God and my family. This includes my parents, my sisters, my sons, my grandchildren and my nieces and nephews.
