Meet Cherise Edwards | Atlanta Event & Lifestyle Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cherise Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cherise, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was a hobby photographer for a few years before I decided to turn it into a business. Although I enjoyed taking pictures and capturing special milestones in people’s lives, there was no structure in place when people would ask for my services. Over time, I felt it was important for me to take photography seriously and build something of my own.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Vibrant Life Visuals is an Atlanta-based photography/videography company specializing in lifestyle and events. I am the lead photographer and, this is my first full year into my entrepreneurship journey. There have been quite a few challenges such as learning how to market a business and experiencing a slow season for the first time. What I have learned along the way is how important it is to love what you do because it turns challenges into learning experiences instead. What sets Vibrant Life Visuals apart is that I am extremely detail-oriented when it comes to photography. If I am photographing an event, I get as many candid and decor photos as possible. I want you to feel as if you were at the event when looking at the photos. If I am capturing a lifestyle session, I take as much care as possible to ensure the client feels confident in front of the camera. What I want people to feel after they work with me is that taking photos can be a fun and meaningful experience.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my friend to the Beltline and Ponce City Market. There are so many places to eat and take photos in that area! We would also go to a couple of the skating rinks here like Cascade and Golden Glide so they could get a taste of the ATL skate culture.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout all of my family, friends, business besties, and clients who have supported me throughout this journey.
