Meet Chelsea Porter | Esthetician & Pro Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chelsea Porter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chelsea, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My mother taught me as a child that failure was not an option, and I have lived by that motto my entire life. Every chance is either a blessing or a lesson. Every blunder is a stepping stone to a better future.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a serial entrepreneur that enjoys every step of the process. There’s the good, terrible, and ugly. I am the proud owner of three (soon to be four) companies. Forever Uzuri Beauty is where I sell skincare and cosmetics, as well as provide skincare and makeup services. All-natural yoni care from Oasis Feminine Care. Shiloh Men Care is a beard care line that is made entirely of natural ingredients. To find out what the fourth business is, you’ll have to follow me. This entrepreneurial journey has not been simple, but with each new venture, I’ve learned something new about how to make the next one even more successful. I adore and respect each and every one of my clients because they believe in and support my passion without reservation. One of the most difficult things for me was maintaining a sense of balance while working and studying to become an esthetician while simultaneously being a mother. Everything runs smoothly because of prayer, prioritizing, scheduling, and organizing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting KC I would definitely take her to Summit Grill great food and great drinks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Kacey High, my best friend. When I initially met her, she was seeking for an intern and had been referred to me by a mutual acquaintance. She’s created every logo, website, and promotional graphic I’ve ever had since then. She patiently listens to all of my wacky ideas and assists me in bringing them to fruition. She’s a true jack of all trades, and I’m grateful to have her in my life.
