We had the good fortune of connecting with Chef Shay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chef, how do you think about risk?
You cannot call yourself and entrepreneur without taking risks. I had to take risk to make my dreams come true. If I did not try I may regret not succeeding. I think faith and risk go hand and hand. I had to have faith GOD would lead me in the right direction. As being a risk taker some risks may not always pay off, but I always learned from my failures and turned what I learned into opportunities. To progress you must take risk ,new ideas is key to business growth. Faith and risk have been both equally important in my journey in being entrepreneur. Faith helps me to have confidence and perseverance to keep going even when it seen grim and risk is the optimistic in me if I do not try I will never know if this will help my business to grow to the next level. With both faith and risk I have been able to succeed in DivinKuizine learn from my mistakes and rejoice from my accomplishments. That is the role that risks have played in my life

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art /craft set me apart is I bring a little of the worlds goodness and flavors from around the world in each one of my products. I am most proud of what I have created and continue to create. Challenges/Lessons – I continue to learn and continue to have challenges. I do not believe that you will. life you will always have trials and tribulations, just like in business you will have challenges and lessons. One of my biggest challenges was how to adapt marketing channels web and social media decide how to invest in and utilize new technologies, and compete. Marketing has been my biggest challenges thus far how to market your brand to the massive and to make them believe in what you are selling and make then want to purchase from you. Building brand loyalty. Lesson from this it takes time, hire people where are weak or not as knowledgeable, you cannot build your company all by yourself, and pay for what you need to do not try to cut corners. In one sentence DivineKuizine lets real food flavors and colors shine through in a natural way! That what world needs to know when the purchase one of our products.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Favorite spots in Atlanta and not a really go out type person I am more a family friends stay home type person. But a few places I do enjoy in Atlanta. Hawks games, Chris’ Caribbean Bistro, The aquarium, and Chastain Park for music concerts.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to thank my mom because without I would not be an entrepreneur or know what entrepreneurship was. my mother was always had a small business of some kind so I seen her making clothes, spices teas from packages to selling the product. When I finished college and decided I wanted to start my own business she was right there helping every step.
