We had the good fortune of connecting with Charlotte Ramberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charlotte, every day, we know how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for my business was born from both personal and professional experience. As a therapist, I found myself repeatedly sitting with clients—especially women and families in the perinatal period—who felt isolated, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to navigate big transitions like pregnancy, postpartum, grief after loss, or infertility. I also saw how cultural stigma, lack of support, and gaps in care impacted people’s mental health, particularly in marginalized communities like LGBTQIA+ individuals and women of color.

Over time, I realized that what people needed wasn’t just therapy—they needed a village. They needed a space where their stories were honored, their emotions were validated, and their whole selves were welcomed. That vision led me to create a group practice focused on supporting individuals through the major transitions of life—with particular care for perinatal mental health, grief, trauma, and identity. My goal has always been to blend compassionate clinical work with real-world support, and to create a place where healing is accessible, inclusive, and empowering.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is rooted in the belief that healing doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens in community. I’m the founder of a private therapy practice that specializes in perinatal mental health, grief and loss, and support for marginalized identities, especially Asian-American and African-American women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those navigating complex life transitions like perimenopause, parenting, and identity shifts.

What sets us apart is how intentionally inclusive and affirming our care is. We don’t just offer therapy; we offer spaces that feel like exhaling—where clients are seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Our work goes beyond the traditional clinical model to center trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and deeply compassionate support. We also offer coaching, groups, and community-centered events to meet people where they are.

Getting here wasn’t easy and I’m still in the process of building my practice. Starting and growing a private practice, especially while raising a family and walking through multiple surrogacy journeys, took persistence, self-trust, and a lot of faith. I’ve learned that clarity comes through action, and that perfection can’t be the goal—connection and impact are. There were seasons of doubt, burnout, and imposter syndrome, but I leaned on mentorship, supervision, and a strong support system to stay grounded in my “why.”

I’m most proud of the safe, empowering spaces we’ve created for people to show up as their full selves. I’ve had the honor of supporting clients through birth, loss, healing, and transformation—and there is nothing more sacred than that.

What I want the world to know is this: you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re grieving, becoming a parent, rediscovering yourself, or just trying to survive the day-to-day, there is help, there is hope, and there is a place for you here.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d plan a week that blended cozy, local charm with a few can’t-miss Atlanta spots. We’d slow down, soak in nature, enjoy good food, and support small businesses—my favorite combo.

We’d start at The Community Cup grabbing a cup of coffee and then wander through the boutiques of the Cumming City Center. We’d have lunch at Marie’s Italian Deli. Id show them my office space (if they’re curious!), then we’d take a relaxing walk at Big Creek Greenway or Sawnee Mountain Preserve for stunning views. Dinner at Branchwater or Nido Café is a must—great food and great atmosphere to kick off the trip.

We’d spend a day outdoors with a morning hike at Amicalola Falls, followed by a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, we’d book massages at a local wellness spot like Bliss Mama or or get our nails done at Sugar Polish Nail Bar. Dinner would be at Tam’s Backstage—hidden gem vibes with incredible food.

We’d venture into the city to hit some cultural favorites—Ponce City Market, Atlanta BeltLine, and maybe the High Museum of Art or the Civil Rights Museum depending on what they’re in the mood for. Lunch at Krog Street Market, then dinner and drinks at Gunshow for an adventurous dining experience.

A day trip to the wineries is a must! We’d head up to Wolf Mountain or Fainting Goat, maybe hit a few others on a casual wine tour. There’s nothing like sipping wine with mountain views. On the way back, we’d grab dinner at Montaluce Winery’s restaurant or stop in Dahlonega for something cozy.

Before they head out, we’d grab a boba tea at The Collections or Halcyon, wander the shops one last time, and maybe do one more slow stroll through Halcyon Greenway. Then lots of hugs and plans for the next visit!

There’s something really special about North Georgia—the mix of mountains, lakes, small-town hospitality, and access to the energy of Atlanta. Whether you’re into adventure, wellness, food, or just slowing down, there’s something for everyone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people and influences that deserve recognition in my story. First and foremost, I want to dedicate this shoutout to the families I’ve had the honor of walking alongside—especially those navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum, and identity shifts. Your courage, vulnerability, and trust have shaped the heart of my work.

I also want to acknowledge Postpartum Support International (PSI), which has been a foundational part of my journey in perinatal mental health. Their training, resources, and community helped me build the specialized knowledge I needed to show up fully for the families I serve.

On a more personal note, I’m incredibly grateful to my husband and children, who have been my grounding force through every chapter—cheering me on through long nights, big dreams, and the vulnerable work of holding space for others. And to my own therapists, supervisors, and mentors along the way—thank you for helping me do this work with clarity, integrity, and heart.
