We had the good fortune of connecting with Charles Mag and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charles, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk played a huge part of my life/career. Being a business owner is “all risky” but I also think life is “all risky”. Risk plays an important aspect for growth. Being able to capitalize in an market where people are less likely to take advantage of is a great formula for opportunity.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
August 6th we’re throwing an event where we’re working with 10 prominent painters around the world. Who will use our bags as a canvas to paint/promote their artwork on our bags. During the event we’ll auction off all bags to the highest bidder. Proceeds will go to our non profit “The Middle Path”.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It typically all depends on the week. But when friends are in town I take them to Hattie B’s for a spicy Nashville chicken sandwich and pimento Mac and Cheese. After the lunch we’d navigate to Rum Punch on Central Ave and Ralph David Abernathy Blvd and for a good turn up.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to Niya and the team for helping me put on this event August 7th. Helping with PR and building/growing the attention.
