We had the good fortune of connecting with Charadi Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charadi, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is my family. Without the love and support of my husband and 5 beautiful children CharPour would still be a dream.

My husband/forever intern, has held my hand and invested so much time and energy into making sure I am prepared, and ready to take on the never ending surprises of being an entrepreneur.

I know if I told him tomorrow I wanted to take CharPour to the moon, by midnight he would have constructed a road map for me to get there.

My children are invested as well. from staying up late blowing up balloons, helping mommy prep for the upcoming events, to early mornings car rides to Lowe’s grabbing wood to build props. Together we make up the success of our brand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I founded CharPour_Events in my apartment dining room as a single mom with 3 kids a dollar store table cloth, a dollar store budget and a really big dream.

I am most proud of my drive to never give up. I literally started with nothing! No money, No experience in decorating, just the desire to see my babies smile really bright on there special day .Now those same efforts are shared with each and every client of CharPour_Events today.

Looking back I am where I am today because a few people like my pearls at LA fitness my husband and children spoke life into me.They celebrated my small wins with me and believed in what no one could yet see.

I remember my now husband coming to the apartment after work kissing me on my forehead on his way to bed because I was 3 days in of watching YouTube videos on how to build a balloon garland. I put in the work.

Deciding to be an entrepreneur has been the most challenging and rewarding experience I have faced alongside being a wife and a mother. Starting out you face things like not knowing what to charge for your work because you battle with your inexperience.

You sacrifice time with your family and friends for building and perfecting your craft. You may even face the challenge of understanding that yes you want to make money but everyone isn’t your targeted clientele.

People ask me often is it hard. For sure, fingers crossed with hands flat on the table but with that hard also comes growth, and patience. I have developed a sense of pride and accomplishment when I step back and see what I have created. I am inspired to keep going & creating when I think about all the lives I have touched all because I decided not to quit.

If there is one thing I would want the world to know about my brand &story is that CharPour is and will always be my greatest investment. I couldn’t find the right opportunity so I created it for myself and SO CAN YOU !

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting on a trip to the A they would have to definitely on a Sunday pull up at the biggest day party at Nickajack Park where Play SSK host the biggest day party with the livest kickball games around. DJ king Will is always on the 1’s & 2’s & sure to have you rocking until it’s time to go home.

They would have to check out Slush Atlanta on a Friday &Saturday the brunch, drinks and atmosphere are amazing. DJ Popo is sure to have you up dancing ready to come back for more.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to first Thank God who has afforded me the opportunity to Pour into the lives of others with my gift. I owe him all that I am and will one day soon become.

I dedicate my shout out forever & always to my village, my husband & 5 beautiful babies. (Raheem, Raegan, Christopher, Harmony, Destiny & Raheem jr.)

The six of you have been my fuel when I am on E and direction when I have lost my way. I look forward to the day I retire you all, until then I will do my best to make you proud.

I would like to thank Paisley Renee Photography for growing along this journey with me. You have helped take my brand to a new level. I’m looking forward with excitement of all the beautiful things we will do together my PIB.

Lastly, to my whole squad of AGNB Kickball. You all have been continual pillars of love and support and I am honored that I get to do life with you. Thank you for every word of encouragement, booked event & helping hand that you all have given CharPour.
