We had the good fortune of connecting with Chani Carroll aka Ìyá Ifádùnmọ́lá Ọ̀jẹ́kèmi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chani, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The value that matters most to me is self-discovery, mastery, and actualization. Within that journey lies truth, authenticity, joy, and success. As a spiritual woman, I seek clarity and purpose in all that I do. Through my own unfolding, I’ve realized that the deeper I know myself, the better I can discern what aligns with me whether it be people, opportunities, or experiences. I truly believe that self-awareness is the foundation of a fulfilling life. When we understand ourselves on a deep level, we move with intention, attract what serves us, and create a life that resonates with our highest truth.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
A Touch of Goddess Wellness is more than just a business it’s a sanctuary for healing, alignment, and restoration. Through my signature healing massage experiences, energy healing, spiritual coaching, and holistic wellness offerings, I create a sacred space for clients to release, reconnect, and rejuvenate. Additionally, my Goddess Aromatic Blends line was birthed from my passion for plant-based healing, offering handcrafted, intentional aromatic products that nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

What sets A Touch of Goddess apart is the deeply intuitive and spiritual approach I bring to my work. This isn’t just about relaxation it’s about transformation. My work extends beyond the physical; I minister to people through touch, energy, and conversation, helping them break through emotional blockages, shift limiting beliefs, and reconnect with their divine essence. I lean heavily into ancestral practices, honoring the wisdom, traditions, and spiritual guidance of those who came before me.

My connection to my ancestors is woven into everything I do from the rituals I incorporate into my healing sessions to the intuitive messages that come through for my clients. Whether it’s through a signature healing massage experience, a spiritual life coaching session, or an intuitive download, my purpose is to guide others into deeper self-awareness and healing. My clients don’t just leave feeling good; they leave feeling realigned, recharged, and more connected to themselves.

The journey to where I am today has been anything but easy. Entrepreneurship requires resilience, faith, and a willingness to evolve. One of the biggest leaps I took was moving from Philadelphia, leaving behind my family and comfort zone to strive for more and grow. I knew I was being called to something greater, and I had to trust that stepping into the unknown would open doors to new opportunities, expansion, and deeper alignment with my purpose. Every challenge along the way has only refined me, strengthening my faith and commitment to the work I do.

I’ve learned that success isn’t just about strategy it’s about alignment. When you’re truly in tune with your purpose, the right opportunities, people, and resources will find you. I want the world to know that A Touch of Goddess is more than a brand; it’s a movement for holistic wellness, self-discovery, and divine embodiment. My story is one of faith, transformation, and the unwavering belief that healing is our birthright.

So, whether it’s through my hands, my words, or my energy, my mission remains the same: to help others heal, align, and restore body, mind, and spirit, with the guidance of those who walk with me in spirit.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Atlanta for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the perfect mix of great food, culture, movement, self-care, and community. Here’s how I’d curate an unforgettable trip:

Day 1: Welcome & Nourishment
We’d kick things off with a meal at Springreens Community Café, where they could experience fresh, flavorful, and nourishing food. I literally take everyone here who visits Atlanta. I love it there. After settling in, we’d stop by Seed Atlanta , where they could grab a free plant and soak in some great vibes.

Day 2: Culture & Creativity
We’d spend the day expressing our creativity at Mudfire Studio & Gallery, making some pottery. Later, we’d head to The High Museum for Jazz Night, immersing ourselves in art, music, and a vibrant atmosphere.

Day 3: Foodie Adventures & Sober Socializing
Food is a big part of any trip, so we’d explore some of my favorite spots: Planta for delicious plant-based dishes and African Palace Bar & Grill in Stone Mountain for some authentic African flavors. Since I don’t drink liquor per se, we’d spend the evening at Sober Social , where we’d enjoy amazing energy and connection minus the alcohol.

Day 4: Movement, Self-Care & Healing
Thursday is all about Yin Yoga with Akili at Freedom Sanctuary, a must for deep relaxation and alignment. Afterward, we’d stop by Plantium Wellness Spa for some much-needed self-care and pampering because I love supporting other spa businesses. Then, we’d grab some Tassili’s Raw Reality for a nourishing meal, because no visit to Atlanta is complete without their famous kale wraps!

Day 5: Dance & Community Vibes
We’d head to Gallery 992 in the West End for Dancing Down in the West End, where my brothers spin and the energy is always high. It’s a space filled with rhythm, connection, and freedom of movement.

Day 6: Nature & Reflection
We’d take a trip to Arabia Mountain or Cascade Springs Nature Preserve for some hiking, grounding, and fresh air. Afterward, we’d unwind with a sound bath or healing session to integrate all the magic from the week.

Day 7: Closing Out With Love & Intentions
To wrap up the trip, we’d spend the morning journaling and setting intentions before heading to one last amazing meal maybe revisiting a favorite spot or trying a hidden gem we hadn’t explored yet.

All the things I love: delicious food, healing movement, self-care, artistic expression, spiritual alignment, and community connection. By the end of the week, my best friend would leave feeling nourished, expanded, and deeply inspired.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely! I dedicate my shoutout to my family, who raised me with love and resilience, my spiritual family, who empowers and uplifts me, and my ancestors, whose strength flows through me every day. It is because they were that I am. Their guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support have shaped me into the woman I am today, and for that, I am forever grateful.
