We had the good fortune of connecting with Cee Tha Gxdd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cee, how do you think about risk?
When it comes to taking risks you just gotta do it. You shouldn’t be sitting around all day wondering “what if”. With me being an independent artist I do a lot of investing. I don’t be knowing when it’s going to pay off or when Ima see all this bread flip but I’ll never know if I don’t take the risk. At the same time though, I do be thinking about all the money I could be putting towards things going on in my life outside of music. It’s a lot that get sacrificed when you pushing towards one goal but I know as long as you got faith in your craft and you putting in the work it’s gone pay off for sure. It ain’t no need to stress about it. Just do it. Take the risk.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my versatility; the way I sound. I’d say that I’m most proud of my growth within music. Being consistent and more engaged in perfecting my craft has assimilated me thus far. From working night shifts to early morning sessions right after. No it wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth the challenge. Learning to be patient and realizing everything will happen in divine timing has really helped me over the years. I’ve also learned you can’t escape what’s for you.. if it’s meant to be, it will happen. Although I may inspire and set an example for others, I’m still striving to be the best version of myself as well.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d say a couple of my favorite spots in the city is Splash Adventure or Spring Valley Beach. You can hit Top Golf or whenever I like to just chill I go to Railroad Park and maybe end the night off with some good wings & Cajun fries from Exotic Wings. They got some of the best wings in the city fasho. The seasoning be on point! Usually, there’s a lot of events that occur throughout the week. If you’re a creative or love going out you just gotta tap in. It ain’t too much to do in the city but you can most definitely make a good time out of it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to the few people around me that supports to the fullest. I tend to lose sight of the good things around me when I get hit with a lot of set backs but they keep me grounded during those times. It’s always good to have people who truly wants to see you win. It’s not a lot of that in this world but over here when one wins, we all win!
