Meet Cashaey Serenity | Model Coach & Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cashaey Serenity and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cashaey, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Being in the entertainment industry for over 15 years, I saw the disconnect between aspiring talent and industry professionals. I created Model Works as a way to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. Model Works provides a platform where models and actors can connect with industry professionals, learn from shared experiences, and cultivate lasting relationships.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At Model Works, we believe in the power of community and collaboration. I got to where I am today, by collaborating with photographers and surrounding myself around industry professionals that I looked up to, at the very start of my career. I also remained consistent and created a brand for myself. It wasn’t an easy task but you have to believe in yourself first before you can expect anyone else to believe in you. I faced many challenges like not being tall enough to model in certain fashion shows. It was really discouraging but I found a lane within the industry that did not have a height requirement, print modeling. I am most excited about coaching my clients and helping them get booked for gigs as a professional in the industry. Some lessons that I learned along the way is that its okay to reinvent your brand, do what works for you and do not compare other’s success to yours because we all have different paths. I want the world to know that you can do and be anything that you set your mind to, if you believe in yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
These are a few of my favorite spots in Atlanta, GA. The Roof at Ponce City Market, The Optimist restaurant Midtown, The Chattahoochee Food Works, Top Golf, Puttshack, Atlantic Station,The Battery and Velvet Taco.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mentors Bang, CEO and Aaron Handy, President of Models INC.
