Meet Carolina Evenrud | Cake Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carolina Evenrud and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carolina, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My work-life balance has changed over time. I used to think I had to work 24/7, always be available, and respond to inquiries late at night and on weekends. This stress started affecting my health. Now, I set clear boundaries and make time for rest and family. This helps me stay productive, be present, and do well not just as a cake artist, but also as a wife, mom, and active community member.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m a cake artist and have been in this field since 2013.
I started by working mainly with the Brazilian community, but I realized that offering both Brazilian and American-style sweets would help me reach more people. Today, I work with clients from various backgrounds, including Brazilian, American, African, Indian, Hispanic and Russian communities.
I offer a wide range of Brazilian and American treats, which sets me apart from others.
I’m most proud of being able to work closely with my clients to provide treats that fit their needs and budgets.
I’m excited by the challenge of creating new cake designs and delivering products that exceed expectations in both appearance and flavor.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I worked two jobs until I had enough clients to focus solely on my business.
Overcoming challenges means continuing to try, learning from mistakes, not giving up, listening to clients, offering great customer service, and being honest about what I can and cannot do.
I love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to a few important people in my life.
First, I thank God for putting this dream in my heart and giving me wisdom and direction to get here.
I’m so grateful for my husband, who has been my best friend and biggest supporter for the past 25 years.
My 2 kids for being such amazing young men and for helping with their fresh ideas about what’s trending on Social Media.
I also appreciate my parents for always liking, commenting, and sharing my posts, which means a lot to me.
A special thanks to my aunt Vanda for being an example of faith and hope, she always reminds me to look forward to the future.
Finally, thanks to my friends and clients for their constant support.
Each of you has helped me in a special way, and I’m truly thankful.
