We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlie Brooks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carlie, what inspires you?
I am inspired by having the passion to work with kids. I feel that I have a God given talent to serve, love, and teach children. Another thing that inspires me is seeing how children are all unique in their own way.
What should our readers know about your business?
I started my business in May 2020 and it has been very incline. Many things set me apart such as my age, my experiences, my race, and what I can offer. As a nanny, I treat kids as if they were my own. What I am most proud of is that I have worked with over 80 families in the state of Georgia and am still expanding. I have built many close relationships with parents and children. People always say you must start at the bottom to get to the top and that’s what I am doing. Before my business, I started working hours such as 9am-6pm at daycares and summer camps. Also, I have created a care account and was able to help people that are in need. Now having a business I have progressed further in life. I am being referred to as a nanny everyday by someone, receiving emails/messages that are in search of a nanny. It was not easy to get to where I am now but I had to have faith and believe that I will make a difference and be the best nanny that I can be and run my business my way. I have also learned to connect with families in various ways through hardships. I want everyone to know that I provide the best of the best and no one can beat my prices.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to the Battery which is around the Braves Stadium in Atlanta . We would walk around and eat good food. I recommend The Yardhouse is a great restaurant to go to.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I just want to shout out my mom and Isaiah for supporting and motivating me in my business. They have both been here since the beginning. Also, I would like to shoutout my friend Toni for supporting me in every way she could.
