We had the good fortune of connecting with Cardell Rosser and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cardell, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is believing in myself. I’ve notice when I start doubting myself, I start to make a lot of mistakes in my work, I start feeling overwhelmed due to procrastination and I lose out on opportunity to make money. Once I saw the effects of self doubt, I started praying more, daily affirmations, and writing down my goals. Over time, as I chipped alway my daily goals, my confidents began to grow, opportunities started chasing me and now I am able to support myself and my business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am primarily a wedding and portrait photographer based here in Atlanta but I started out as a fashion Photographer. How I stand out is one, my amazing customer service but also, my style of Photography. I feel it’s my job to make my couples feel like professional models. They are more comfortable in front of the cameras, they’re having fun, and most importantly the couples love images coming straight out of camera. What keeps me motivated is after every wedding the couple runs to me and tell me how much they enjoyed my services and thank you standing beside them every step of the way. Hearing my couples say that about me is amazing. This word was not easy. Moving to Atlanta back in 2019, if felt everybody was a fashion Photographer and model, and they did not want to pay me my worth. I was still booking clients but all my clients were out of town. But when Covid-19 hit back in 2020, I was not able to travel and the clients was not able to travel to me. I notice a lot of weddings was pushed back as well. When the Georgia, slowly reopened everyone was looking for a wedding Photographer for their wedding and because of the pandemic, my career path changed slightly for the better. Yes, I still shoot fashion photography but my passion is wedding photography.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
You know what, I don’t really have any favorite spots in Atlanta due to the fact that I am always working and chasing my dreams, but there are a couple places that I do not mind visiting again. I would take my best friend to places like Apt 4b, piedmont park, ponce city market, maybe six flags. Tallulah Falls, Georgia, is a great place to camp. I would take them to go hiking at stone mountain park. My best friend lives up north so I would take them to places like, Raising Canes in Athens. Lastly, the malls like Lennox, Perimeter and Atlantic station just to name a few.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout Shantia Dajah. I do not know her personally but I happen to come across her youtube channel when I was searching information on scriptwriting. She is not a scriptwriter, in fact, Shantia’s channel is faith based. She post bible verses and words of encouragement. Even though I was searching scriptwriting, the title to one of her videos stood out to me. The video that led me to her page was her “Wait until you see why god had you wait so long”. The message in that video really stood out to me and since then, I visit her page every morning for her daily affirmations and because of her words, I began making changes in my life for the better. I really believe it was faith that bought me to her channel.
