We had the good fortune of connecting with Candy McBride and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Ever since I was a little girl growing up in Miami, Florida I have always been entrepreneur. Whether it was selling school supplies, tutoring, or songwriting. I have a natural affinity towards entrepreneurship. Therefore, when I saw an opportunity to provide a service to people on their health journey I jumped at the opportunity because it was a journey that we could travel on together.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
#GYMKITTY is a health and wellness fitness company that specializes in supplements that support weight loss and vitality. We offer and waist trainers.

So why #GYMKITTY? We celebrate what connects us all on our health journeys and that’s social media. Social media has created a whole new medium to connect, find inspiration, gain support and to celebrate our glows and grows!

#GYMKITTY celebrates that and we wear it proudly on all our products. #CURVES protein shakes, #ZING pre-workout powder, #BELLYBURN fat burner, #CLEANSE acai berry detox, and #RESTORE Ashwagandha. Besides, ladies aren’t gym rats… we are #GYMKITTIES.

I’ve learned to have fun with this company. Every few weeks we have #FitKittyFriday where we show off our progress. We are not hitting goals to wear gym clothes all day, every day. We’re doing it to look good and feel confident! That is our company motto … DON’T EMBARRASS YOUR HASHTAG.

I am so proud of this company and how far it has come. From just offering Tee-shirts to launching our supplements. It’s been an amazing journey and I’m excited for all the great things #GYMKITTY has planned in the future. Such as our Vegan Protein Shakes dropping Mid-Summer!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My first stop would definitely be an Atlanta United Soccer game, the atmosphere is electric! We would definitely have dinner at the Garden Room.
A day strolling the beltline with a stop in the illuminarium.
Atlanta breakfast club, yep its wrth the wait.
Sky Dive Atlanta, not the indoor .. the real thing at 14,000 feet ( I did it – bucket list)
Then, Head North to Chateau Elan for Wine tasting
Finally, Dinner in the dark with a comedy show.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is dedicated to my daughters Alivya (9) and Hailey (6) because although I have started many successful businesses the one that is nearest and dearest to me, #GYMKITTY, I procrastinated with. Then, during a casual conversation with them about dreams and goals they looked me in my eyes and asked “Well, What about #GYMKITTY?” Whenever I “don’t want to” I honestly go talk to them they are able to point me in the right direction. They’re my little motivational speakers. motivational speakers.
