We had the good fortune of connecting with Calister Bengall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Calister, how do you think about risk?
I’m a firm believer in taking chances weighing my options. In order to be successful you have to let go of fear and even if you don’t let go of it don’t let it stop you. When you take risk and fail it teaches you how to do it better the next time. When you take risk and succeed it gives you the confidence to do it again setting higher goals. Making you more fearless!

What should our readers know about your business?
Being a spiritual practitioner is not a profession you choose. This profession has to choose you. My spiritual responsibility to humanity is to provide tools that will change your life. It is my mission to bring you spiritual independence. My readings are accurate, to the point and may not be what you want to hear but trust me it’s what your soul needs to hear. This sets me apart from most readers. This gift must be in your bloodline its not something you can study for a few months it takes years of study. You are responsible for the soul evolution of that individual. In all honesty this is not an easy life you sacrifice yourself for the higher good which means your desires are not first and foremost. Being proficient at your craft takes being alone alot so you can hear correctly from Spirit. As for being a business woman and a practitioner the learning process has been extremely tedious. Learning new technology enabling me to do alot for myself. In order to be successful learn as much as you can about the things you would pay people to do, allowing more independence. Be willing to take a chance somethings you may feel are out of your reach but if you take a chance you can grasp it. I am so humbled by my three television appearances on VH1 Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, Bravos Southern Charm and WE TV Growing Up Hip Hop Atl. I give thanks to my Spirits and Ancestors for giving me the desire to develop discipline the courage to stand my spiritual ground when others told me I was wrong for my beliefs and the strength to carry out your divine purpose.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a girls day out I would start at Jeju Saunas. Book an appointment with The Charmingmanicurist for fabulous nails. After that headed to The Wax Spot & Wellness best lashes in Atlanta. My favorite places to eat would be next Olive Garden and Azio Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Greetings! My spiritual journey has been rewarding and uplifting. I give thanks for my Spirits and Ancestors who walk with me. As a Priestess your godparents play a large roll in your development. I would like to give thanks to my Haitian Vodoun parents Hougan Jean Daniel Charles and Mambo Miranda for the knowledge they have given me. I would also like to thank my Lucumi godparents Padrino and Madrina Guillermo Acosta. I would like to thank Ivan Van Sertima for the inspiring book Black Women in Antiquity and Merlin Stone for When God Was A Woman. Books that changed my life and my purpose!
