We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleb Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caleb, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In college my friends and I worked on a handful of short films for the sake of “building our own credits” as we called it. But, throughout that process I found that I truly enjoyed the concept of planning, producing, and shooting these types of low-budget, “I just want to make some content” shoots. That’s really where Exit Right Productions came from – a place of wanting to provide professional quality services with the price flexibility to work with young talent that just want a way to put their work out into the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

I feel like I had a sort-of fast track to where I currently am. My first year in college I was in my first ever play – I had never had an interest in acting before then. Then my second year in college I directed my first short film and started developing a passion for all things cinematography. In my third and final year of college, I worked on a handful of sets for music videos thanks to Chris Carson and Jake Hale. It was a gradual path to working behind the camera in more and more professional ways.

Exit Right Productions was a thing throughout most of that time, but it mostly existed as a name more than a business.

Then at the start of COVID I got a job producing content for LV|first United Methodist Church, where I have since grown into a full time media position. That is when and where I was able to solidify my “structure” for Exit Right Productions. I’m not in a desperate need to work job after job, relying on the next client and waiting for my paycheck from last month’s shoot. I get the comfort of consistent paycheck and the flexibility to operate my business at rates that still support me, but also support my clients.

I love what I do, and I want people to know that that’s my sole intention with Exit Right Productions – to provide fast, professional, and affordable services – and that I do it because I WANT to and that’s why you’ll get the rates as good as you do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live out around Lawrenceville, so my immediate go-to places would have to be Green Basil off of Horizon Drive and Pita Mediterranean Street Food off of Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road. I could probably live off of those two restaurants, so all of my friends end up there with me at some point.

If we’re talking about my best friend, as far as hanging out, we would probably end up booking a studio to shoot some stuff or maybe hit up Tribble Mill Park in Gwinnett or Piedmont Park to run around with a camera.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think I’d first have to shout out some of my best friends, Andrew Witter & JT – they’ve been staples on pretty much ALL of my short film productions. JT, to this day, still works with me as a producer. I’d also be remiss to not shout out Jaclyn Faircloth for introducing me to the world of acting and production and opening the gateway to the work that I’m doing now. And last, I’ve got to say a BIG thank you to my soon-to-be Fiance, Estephany Flores, for encouraging me and actually helping me turn the idea for Exit Right Productions into a feasible, functioning business.
