Meet Cade Tropeano | Actor, Singer and Voiceover Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cade Tropeano and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cade, what makes you happy? Why?
There are so many things that make me happy. First, I am a very spiritual person and feel that we are all very blessed with different gifts. When we recognize what those gifts are and use them to help and bring joy to other people, we get an internal satisfaction, happiness. It makes me happy to be able to bring emotion out in others through my work. I love acting, whether on camera or voice acting and when I am working, even if it is just doing an audition, I am happy. My family is super supportive my passion for performing and it makes me happy to make them proud. Also, I can’t forget my two goldendoodles, Biscuit and Sadie, they are the most lovable pups ever and they bring so much happiness to me and my family.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an actor, singer and voiceover artist. They all seem to work together in most projects that I do. I think the project that I am most proud of is my work with Disney on the new Eureka! animated series. The majority of the episodes that have been recorded to this point, were recorded during a time when most of the country was locked down for COVID. It was a really hard and stressful time for so many people, there was a lot of sadness and worry. Disney made it possible for most of the recording to be done from home studios. It was really amazing! During my sessions, there would be people on Zoom from varied locations in Los Angeles, Dublin (Ireland) and me, at my house! Every recording session was full of so much joy and laughter – we really had a blast putting the episodes together. Even though there were occasional glitches that we had to work through, it ran really smoothly. I think these recordings were a high point during that period for me, and I will always remember that. This made the release of Eureka! even more special as we all got to see what everyone else had been doing and how everyone’s work fit together so perfectly.
Another project that I am really proud of is my role in Apple TV’s ‘Black Bird’ series where I played Young Larry Hall. This was an extremely difficult role for me, for many reasons. Larry Hall was a serial killer who is suspected of committing up to 40 murders during the 80s and 90s. I have never played a character like this before and, even though I was playing a younger version of him before his crime-spree started, there was still some unsettling behaviors that Larry exhibited. We filmed in New Orleans in the heat and humidity of August and I was dressed in layers of winter clothing. That added to the complexity of the role. I really had to search for something I had in common with the character, and that ended up being that he, too, was probably miserable and hot digging up a grave in the middle of the night. Sidenote, Larry’s father was a cemetery caretaker who took Larry with him to dig up graves and rob them at night. Additionally, Paul Walter Hauser was cast to play Larry Hall and I knew I would have enormous shoes to fill as he is an amazing actor who would bring so much to that role. I am extremely proud of how ‘Black Bird’ turned out and the small contribution I made to it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many cool things to do in Atlanta, especially for kids. The first thing that comes to mind is Six Flags and then, of course the Georgia Aquarium and then Zoo Atlanta. We would have to catch a performance at the Fox Theatre. It would be really cool to go to Illuminarium and Stone Mountain, if we had enough time. Ponce City Market is a really cool place to go with really cool games and stuff. We must hit Five Daughters Bakery for a sweet snack before leaving. Another amazing place to go is Fernback Museum, I could spent all day there! If my friend was a sports enthusiast, I would definitely take them to the College Football Hall of Fame and let them test their skills in the indoor field. We could wrap it all up with a trip to an escape room, if we weren’t too tired!
Now for the food. I’m a huge foodie, in fact, when we travel, I am usually the one that researches and picks out new restaurants to try. For lunch, a go to of mine is Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar where I order a side of tots and BD Snickered to go with my burger. I love Italian food and Forza on the westside is a must for me or Atwood’s in midtown for pizza. Afterwards, we could go to PuttShack and see who could hit a hole-in-one. The next night, we could have Korean bbq at Char in Inman Park, another fav! Now for dessert! I am a big fan of Sublime Doughnuts, especially the strawberry cream or the maple bacon! Also, Jeni’s Ice Cream where I always have a tough time picking just one flavor, might I suggest the Bombastix Sundae Cone or the Watermelon Taffy. I could go on and on about the amazing restaurants in and around Atlanta!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to thank my family and my team of amazing agents, my manager and my publicist for always supporting me and putting amazing opportunities in front of me. Without these amazing people alongside me, I would not have been able to accomplish many of the things that I have.
