We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryan Majors and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my business based off of the worst and best day of my life. My father had to forgo heart surgery and he eventually passed away right after surgery. My father and steals great life skills, characteristics morals and values in me my family and my friends. I wanted to continue his legacy and always make him proud of me.

I then took everything he taught me about lives process and the importance of preparation and turned it into a business. I allowed that adversity and pain to turn into my purpose and profit.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Bryan is a native Harrisburg PA. He graduated from John Harris in 2006 with a 3.9 GPA and was a starting point guard for the Harrisburg Cougars for two years. Bryan was a superb students athlete growing up and a member of the School of Business and Industry.

Bryan took his education and athletic abilities to Susquehanna University after being offered an academic scholarship. Bryan graduated from Susquehanna University in 2010 with a 3.6 GPA and was the first African American male to earn a degree in elementary education from that institution. In addition, Bryan had an outstanding basketball career – earning recognition as Rookie of the Year, two time conference Defensive Player of the Year, career leader in assists, second leader in steals, two year captain and four year starter.

Bryan later took his mind and vision to Penn State University – Harrisburg and earned a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration on Non-Profit Organizations. While attending, Bryan was a graduate assistant with the basketball team and worked as an assistant to the athletic director.

In 2012, Bryan began laying the foundations for Major Prep LLC, Bryan Majors LLC, Major Prep Apparel & Major Prep Cycle Breakers (501C3). Based on leadership, values, morals & characteristics taught by my father about always being prepared for life’s opportunities and challenges, Bryan developed the organizations with the mission to help others be prepared to address individual obstacles that undermine the achievement of life goals.

Now as a retired professional basketball player for the Harlem Globetrotters Organization as a Washington General. Bryan has solely embraced his entrepreneurial journeys as an Amazon Best Selling & Black Enterprise Recognized Author, College Adjunct Professor, Professional Basketball Trainer, Transformational Leadership & Character Development Coach who has impacted over thousands of lives.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It is a absolute must that you go to Milk & Honey in Atlanta. It has the best food ever and the vibe is amazing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to surely shout out my family, friends, mentors & major prep team for always holding me accountable to reach every goal I ever set.
