We had the good fortune of connecting with Brooke Tiera and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brooke, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Wow! This question has so many layers to it but I truly believe there will always be an important decision to make along the way of a journey to success. Success is different for everyone but I’ve learned its imperative to surround yourself with people who have the same mentality and hustle as you. With that said it came to a point I had to detach myself from people and things that no longer served me or my purpose. I had to heal myself first and then make a decision to confidently bet on myself 100 percent. I wouldn’t be where I am now if I hadn’t bet on me 100 percent and follow my visions. It was no looking back at that point, being a full-time entrepreneur definitely has its ups and downs but once you step into your purpose and truly commit despite the down times’ everything begins to happen how it’s supposed too and I promise you won’t be able to believe it yourself! Things will start to fall into place for your business and next thing you know you have 3 new clients, when just a month ago you were stressing about not having any clients at all. Alignment and timing, that’s all it is and you have to believe because if don’t who else will believe in your vision first.
Please tell us more about you. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I’m a passionate soul about everything I do and I’m truly passionate about helping others shine in their lane, knowing their stories, and assisting in any way possible so the world can know their stories too. I created my brand from these passions and my own journey thus far in the entertainment world. I created REAL BT MANAGEMENT to build a household name in entertainment entrepreneurship. I started the basis of the brand with Social Media Management for artist, small businesses, and entrepreneurs who do not have the time to manage their accounts or create content. I found a way to bridge together today’s social media world and my experience/passion for entertainment and helping others under one umbrella. Bringing the expertise and experience I’ve gained over the years to help others build out their brands and bring them to life was always the ulitimate goal. Throughout my journey, I’ve had great opportunities and met some prominent people that brought great value to my professional journey. I am most proud of the fact I did not give up when I really thought I wanted too and I’m excited about the future because there are many great things in store from music to film and fashion. Now, I can’t mention all the glitz without talking about the gloom. In the midst of building my own brand, I still had to make ends meet and work to take care of myself and invest back into my vision for the business to start running. I worked in customer service for 10 years, from corporate, State Farm to retail at Nordstrom, and many brand ambassador events. I’ve had doors closed in my face, I had people tell me I couldn’t do this or that because I wasn’t “qualified enough” and I’ve always been seen as an underdog but having experience, being versatile and adaptable, along with my hustle and go-getter mentality I overcame the challenges and any setbacks by never giving up and finding another way, because there’s always a way, as my mother would say. I want the world to know that REAL BT MANAGEMENT is more than just a social media management company, its a household brand for Media Entertainment Services and Live Correspondance. My motto “Create A Brand Build A Dream”
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ah man, I’m a major foodie so I’ve tried many food spots in Atlanta it’s hard to choose but brunch is my favorite and one of my favorite breakfast brunch spots is Le Petit Marche, It’s a must-try if you’re in the Atlanta area! A great spot for drinks, dinner, and a nice vibe with live music is Two Urban Licks or Eclipse Di Luna, the one-off Miami Circle for sure, its a vibe! Then we would have to hit the beltline check out the cool art work, climb stone mountain and go to Ponce City Market just to say you went because the vibe is so cool and artsy. Then of course we have to do a little shopping at Phipps and lastly have a farewell dinner at my fave, Gypsy Kitchen!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes most definitely! I would have to thank my family and friends for always supporting me and encouraging me to be a dynamic woman and fulfill my dreams! I’ve been blessed to have some amazing mentorship in my life and forever grateful. I was born into this entertainment world from the journey that was paved for my mom, from modeling, acting, hosting, media production, music, and writing I was bound to take on one if not all of these passions and find what I was good and create my own lane. I learned it all from my mom, TKO, Towonda Kilpatrick!
