We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittny Branch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittny, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think of risk as something to overcome. It can either cause fear or encourage you to go after your dreams. Risk is all about the unknown who to marry, what school to go to, or even deciding to relocate. Risk carries the possibility of something extraordinary and challenges you not to stay stagnant.

The risk in my life/career was starting my business. A month after the pandemic started and cities were still on lockdown, I had the bright idea to start a nutrition company. Talk about taking a risk, right! I was terrified I didn’t know if it would succeed if people would be interested or even engaged. But I knew I had to take the risk to start living in my true purpose. I have always had a passion for food and a strong interest in nutrition. I knew that combining both of my gifts could help individuals create a healthy lifestyle and help improve overall wellness. This next stage in my life would require me to have unbelievable faith in myself and in the abilities God put in me. I have learned since becoming an entrepreneur that it requires a level of risk-taking to create something bigger than yourself.

“The road to success is not without risk-taking.”

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets my business apart from others is that we can meet the corporate need as well as the needs of an individual’s clients. My company offers virtual workshops for corporate clients, and we offer telehealth appointments for individual clients. Something else that sets me apart is my unique understanding of the difficulty of struggling with one’s weight, stress, and diet confusion. I’m most proud that I’ve made it this far, and what I’m most excited about is the future growth of my company. I’m excited about introducing health promotion programs for the community so that we all can start living our best healthy lives together. How I got to where I am today business-wise? Was by combining my two passions, food, and nutrition. I started my journey in life as a Chef and spent 13 yrs. in the kitchen. Later, I started a journey of learning about diets, nutrition, and wellness. After, losing my job due to the pandemic I took the risk of starting my own company to share what I had learned to help individuals improve their health and reach their nutrition goals. No becoming an entrepreneur has not been easy, but I’ve overcome my challenges by educating myself on what I didn’t know and simply continuing to put one foot in front of the other.
Lessons I’ve learned along the way is to always be open to learning something new, never be scared to start again, and purpose is found when you start living as your true authentic self.
My brand is nutrition education teaching people how to heal themselves through proper nutrition and physical activity. My brand is to teach people that food is medicine and that you can reach your health goals one healthy meal at a time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would visit the Gallery around here in Houston and do some shopping. Next we’ll go to a outdoor concert and enjoy the warm weather. Next we would visit Discovery Green and explore all the fun things it has to offer us. Next we might visit some historical museum. I would also take my best to all of the farmers market I love to go to (Katy, Memorial, Urban Harvest).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has been my support system, encouraging throughout life my ups and downs and as a entrepreneur, I would like to thank them. And God for His grace and mercy.
