We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly, when I decided to go full time as an Entrepreneur I thought the road would be easy. I didn’t think so much came behind actually running a business. I now know that you can never prepare yourself for these things until you have been through them. That’s the only way to master what’s coming at you.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the lead esthetician and owner of Bare Mi Aesthetics Bar. I specialize in Custom and cosmetic skincare treatments, but however I offer Brazilian waxing, Yoni steams, body contouring and natural skin care products in my spa. My passion is to change ones perspective of the importance in taking care of their skin and understanding self care is #1. I am 5 star rated for my customer service and my clients love my personality and are very comfortable with me, but that’s what builds up our connection for them to trust me. I also offer Spa Training Courses in Dermplane, and Microneedling Facials, Brazilian Wax, and Yoni Steams which I’ve trained over 100 women so far and it is the most amazing feeling helping women master a craft.

Nothing about running a business is easy besides the customer service part for me because I’ve always been patient, kind and understanding but I know how to stand firm. I face challenges everyday making sure I can keep my business afloat but with prayer, consistently showing up, and believing in my self and brand I know I am able to withstand any challenge. This is not for the weak!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Where I live in Atlanta, Georgia it’s all about the night life. There’s not much exciting things to do besides eat. I mean who doesn’t love a good brunch with mimosas? There’s so many different places to name I can’t be specific but I would definitely plan brunch for us, or a wine picnic. When we are outside we feel more alive other than that home is where the party is.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest supporters are my mom and sister, without their encouragement I don’t think I could be so level headed. Also, Candance Holyfield @sixfigurespachick is my inspiration, she doesn’t like to be considered a coach but the way she helps black spa owners win and try to win is amazing. I am currently in her boot camp and it has me on 10 toes with all the knowledge that she has to help you grow.
