We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany “Bebe” Flythe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany “Bebe”, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my brand because I thought about how there was a lack of outlets for artists, I missed when the radio was how we discovered new artists, or we found them from watching television I wanted to bring that nostalgic feeling back as well as allow creatives space to just be themselves.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Curator , Host , Media correspondent and Producer of an Emerging Music Series. What sets me apart is the fact I am a consumer of hip hop and R&b as well as a creator… Creating outlets for artists to express themselves is an art that has been limited for a while …. I missed shows like TRL, 106&park and Da Basement. I created outlets like “In the Spotlight” to give that nostalgic feeling again. I started with putting together shows locally every week I met a lot of new people and enjoyed the process.I went from little shows in bars to curating music festivals. I always felt as if i could manage operations behind the scenes but i could do alot on the stage as well. I began to blossom when it came to hosting and allowing my personality to shine. From curating shows and concerts to hosting them I still felt like there was more to do as if i wasn’t doing enough. I wrote the outline for my show and jotted down ideas for segments. Producing Segments wasn’t hard what was a bit of an adjustment was making the transition from what people knew me for … producing shows is what people accepted for me but to see me from a visual aspect they just needed to understand this platform is necessary.I got over this challenge by being consistent and persevering. The lesson i learned along the way was … It’s ok to bet on me… 100% give myself a chance to chance to succeed. I want the world to know that my brand exists and that it was created for creatives by a creative.
