Meet Bridget Clay | Travel Agency Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bridget Clay and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bridget, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing most people don’t realize about this industry? It’s not just about booking trips—it’s about building relationships and creating once-in-a-lifetime memories.
Behind the scenes, I’m constantly learning, visiting destinations firsthand, navigating policies, staying up to date on promotions, and advocating for my clients like they’re family. It’s not just scrolling pretty pictures and hitting “book now.” It’s emails at midnight, reworking plans when things go sideways, and praying over every detail so my clients can truly rest and enjoy the journey. ✨
And the best part? I get to walk alongside people during some of the most joyful moments of their lives. What a gift. 💛

What should our readers know about your business?
Adventures by Bridget started as a one-woman show with a big dream—to make vacation planning easy and meaningful for busy families. Today, it’s grown into an entire team of incredible travel advisors who share that same heart for service, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built together.
What sets us apart? We don’t just send people on vacation—we get to know our clients and guide them every step of the way. Whether it’s your first Disney trip, a milestone celebration at a Sandals resort, or your family’s annual cruise tradition, we take care of the details so you can focus on the fun.
And this isn’t just about me anymore. I’ve had the joy of training and mentoring a group of amazing agents who are not only passionate about travel—but about people. Each one brings their own strengths, perspectives, and experiences, and watching them grow into confident, knowledgeable advisors has been one of the biggest highlights of my career.
Has it been easy? Definitely not. There were challenges, especially in the early days—figuring out systems, building trust, and learning how to scale while still keeping things personal. But every late night, every client win, and every team milestone has been worth it.
I’ve learned that building a business takes patience, perseverance, and the right people around you. And that’s what Adventures by Bridget is—a team of real humans who genuinely care.
We’re here to listen, guide, support, and cheer you on—because planning a vacation should feel exciting, not overwhelming. And when you work with us, you’re not just booking a trip—you’re gaining a team that’s in your corner from start to finish.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit Cartersville for a week, here’s how I’d show them around—local style, with a little adventure, a lot of charm, and plenty of good eats along the way.
Day 1: Small-Town Charm + Southern Hospitality
We’d start downtown—exploring the heart of Cartersville. The murals, the courthouse, and that welcoming hometown energy set the tone for the trip. Then, we’d head over to the Booth Western Art Museum—honestly, even if you’re not a “museum person,” it’s impressive.
For lunch, we’d stop at Doug’s Place in Emerson. It’s as southern as it gets—think meat-and-three done right. The kind of spot where your tea is always sweet and your cornbread comes with stories.
Day 2: Science + State Parks
We’d spend the morning at the Tellus Science Museum—it’s got hands-on exhibits and a planetarium that’s actually pretty cool. In the afternoon, we’d head over to Red Top Mountain State Park for some lake views or an easy hike.
We’d probably grab dinner at Appalachian Grill, tucked right by the railroad tracks. The menu’s packed with comfort food favorites, and it has this cozy, mountain-lodge feel that’s hard to beat.
Day 3: History + Homegrown Eats
A morning visit to the Etowah Indian Mounds or Bartow History Museum would be on the agenda—great for slowing down and connecting with the area’s rich roots. For lunch, we might try Mule House Pizza or even circle back to Swheat Market Deli if we’re craving something lighter.
And for dessert? Coconuts is a must. Their shaved ice is unbelievably soft—like actual snow—and the flavor combos are endless. It’s the kind of treat you’ll want to go back for… probably more than once.
Day 4: Lake Day
We’d pack up for a full day at Lake Allatoona—maybe a picnic, a paddleboard rental, or just a good book by the water. It’s simple, peaceful, and one of those spots that makes you feel like you’re really getting away without going too far.
Dinner could be something casual back in town—maybe Ate Track for burgers and family-friendly vibes.
Day 5: Explore + Unwind
We’d check out the Savoy Automobile Museum—you don’t have to be a car enthusiast to enjoy it. Then maybe take a drive up to Pine Mountain Recreation Area for some fresh air and great views.
A stop at Agan’s Bakery for something sweet is always a good idea. (Tip: If they have anything seasonal, grab it!)
Day 6: Local Favorites Round 2
By now, we’re probably ready to circle back to our favorites. One more stop at Doug’s or Appalachian Grill, a final shaved ice from Coconuts, and soaking in those last slow, sweet moments around town.
Cartersville might fly under the radar—but it’s full of heart, history, and hidden gems. It’s the kind of place where you slow down, eat well, explore a little, and leave feeling like you’ve discovered something special.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Ahh I love this question—because truthfully, none of this would’ve been possible without a whole village behind me. 🥹
First and foremost, all glory to God. Every open door, every answered prayer, every client I get to serve—it’s all by His grace. I fully believe He called me to this work, and I pray over every trip I help plan.
Next, my family. Their constant encouragement (and patience during those long nights and busy seasons) has been everything. My daughters inspire me daily to dream big and walk boldly. And honestly? They’ve been some of my best travel buddies and biggest cheerleaders.
And to my clients—past, present, and future—thank you for trusting me with your most precious memories. You’ve helped build this dream one vacation at a time, and I never take that lightly.
Lastly, a shoutout to my mentor community and fellow travel advisors who share, support, and remind me that there’s room for all of us at the table. Your wisdom and generosity have shaped me more than you know.
So yes—this journey is mine, but it’s never been walked alone.
