We had the good fortune of connecting with Bri McKinnie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bri, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was getting a lot of questions about the toys I was reviewing for Amazon. People wanted to know if I was selling the toys and how they could purchase them so I started looking into how I could do my own thing.

What should our readers know about your business?
YKTV By Bri is not just an adult toy store. Through education and fun, I plan on being your homegirl who just so happens to be educated in sex. Anybody can sell toys, but does the experience come with personality, comfort, and education? Probably not. We’re also expanding our vision beyond the idea of cis men and women by exploring into trans and non binary sex lives. This journey has been a bit complex because of the type of things we sell. I’ve had to get special permissions for things, updated payment processors, etc just to stay in compliance. But luckily im willing to do anything it takes to keep the dream going! I want the world to know that YKTV By Bri has every intention on you coming first.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout my Facebook family for sparking my interest in this field. It was because of all the excitement and questions from my Facebook fam that kept me pushing. I’d specifically like to thank Coya Lovett for putting her Facebook group on to the opportunity to review toys. That opportunity opened up so many more for me!
