We had the good fortune of connecting with BreYanna Mitriece and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi BreYanna, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
I disagree with the advice that we don’t need people as long as we love ourselves. I like to say, it is because of the love we have for ourselves that also reminds us of why we need relationships with other people. I think it’s important to understand how beneficial the relationship is not only with self but with others. When we cultivate healthy relationships whether its romantic, platonic, and familial those relationships have the ability to enrich our lives in many, many ways. To need others isn’t a bad thing, because need simply by definition means, “something that is very important and or essential.” Our interpersonal relationships are very essential to who we are as humans. I like to say, You can love yourself AND love other people. We need each other to love, to heal and to strengthen our community.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an author and poet. I have written several books and journals and co-authored 2 books. What sets me apart from others is the way I see the world. I don’t always see the world through a black and or white lens, but I sometimes see the gray. I write to inspire and encourage women to love themselves, heal their souls so they can live their healthy, happy and whole life. I got to where I am today professionally by continuing to believe in myself and by connecting and reaching the woman I am called to. It’s not always easy, there may be days of discouragement, and feeling like giving up when things business doesn’t grow as fast as you would want it to, but I then remember that it’s takes patience when you’re waiting for a seed to grow. I’ve learned to seek wise business advice, to stay focus even during the storms and to keep believing in what I am purposed to do. What I want the world to know about Bre’Yanna Mitriece Enterprises is that we are a personal development brand focused on helping women experience a healthy, happy and whole life. BME is focused on developing the WHOLE woman, partnering with explore all things that make them feel whole and loved from the inside out.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take her to the Martin Luther King Historic Park and to the Georgia Aquarium. We would go eat at Old Lady Gang, Slutty Vegan, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken and some other local spots. We would explore some of the different bars and nightclubs because we love to dance
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother deserves a little credit in my story. My mother is the definition of doing the impossible. Being a witness to her courage, tenacity, perseverance and faith, showed me that I could do and overcome anything put before me. She allowed me to always be my authentic self and shine in my greatness, which has helped me as a business woman, by never giving up despite any obstacle I may face within my business.
