We had the good fortune of connecting with Bresha Durham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bresha, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from Atlanta, GA; raised in East Point and relocated to Clayton County. Being the youngest of five children, I looked up to all of my siblings for inspiration. Each of them had their own unique path. I wanted mine to be as special as theirs. I didn’t start graphic designing right away. I started out selling lashes and anklets and named my business ‘Branded by Bresh’. I didn’t have the budget to pay anyone to do my flyers and social media content, so I started doing them myself. I created my own website, logo, and e-flyers and that is how I fell in love with graphic designing and named my company what it is today: Bresha Designs.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a graphic designer. Which means I have no limits. I can recreate, rebrand, and upgrade anything. There is no limits with me. I am not fearful of what I cannot do. If I fail? I try again. I don’t give up easily. It was not easy to get to this point. I was easily discouraged and afraid of failure. I had to always take ‘creative breaks’ and I thought it was helping me. In reality, it was pushing my business goals further and further away. Consistency has become a big part of my life and my business. I had to learn to keep pushing myself professionally and creatively no matter what. My brand is considered a ‘small business’. I do have areas to improve on. However, my brand is one of the best graphic design brands in Atlanta! I am very humble about my business because I started from zero. In this present moment, my business hasn’t even reached its peak yet. I know there are great things in store!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Atlanta, I would take her to Rreal Tacos for lunch and drinks. They have some of THE best tacos and margaritas that I’ve tasted. I would take her to the Braves Stadium/ The Battery for good vibes. We would visit PBR Atlanta for good drinks and bull riding all night. We would go visit Piedmont Park with a speaker and some blankets to lay on to enjoy the sun. Since Underground Atlanta had made a comeback, we would visit there also for some creative vibes!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Even though I didn’t have a mentor and I created my business from an idea and a dream, I did have a lot of love and support. My family and friends encouraged me. I would like to shoutout God first and foremost for putting this passion on my heart. I’ve molded into a true business woman. I want to shoutout my siblings for leading by example. My mom has always been my biggest cheerleader, too! I want to shoutout my bestfriends and my little sister for always showing love to my business. Last but not least, I would like to thank my boyfriend for supporting and motivating me to heights I never thought I would reach!
