We had the good fortune of connecting with Brent And Angie. (Son And Mom) Dixon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brent and Angie. (Son and Mom), what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor in our brand in our opinion is providing fresh, quality meats at reasonable prices to our customers. Just as important is providing top quality service. In this day and time that is a lost quality in retail business. As a small business you have got to set yourself apart from larger chain stores. Friendliness and service is a big part of who we are. We want our customers to feel welcome when they come in. Kinda like coming home. Cleanliness is a huge part of our business. Front to back I would never be ashamed to let customers look behind the scene of our business. Our customers recognize all of this and very appreciative

What should our readers know about your business?
Our business is customer oriented totally. One customer at a time is how I look at our business. We work hard to not just sell them our products but really get to know them as a person or family. That’s important to us and them. We really want them to become part of our family. I’m proud that when you walk in you are not just a number or the next sale. You matter to us. Our business is the true definition of Southern Hospitality.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If they wanted a weekend of small town flair, we would visit Covington. Beautiful old homes, vibrant Square area. Dinner at the City Pharmacy. McDonough has revived their Square area and dinner at Pasta Max off the Square. Fabulous Italian food.

Big city life is more their scene. We’d visit Krog Market in Atlanta, The Belt Line, Ponce City Market, Gotta go to a Braves game and the Battery. The Atlanta Zoo and the Aquarium are a must.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our shout out would go first and foremost to the people / customers Henry County and the surrounding counties. These people have stuck with us through thick and thin times. They are the first to jump on the band wagon to support us when unfortunate things have happened in our business. Aubrey Kekiwi a local business owner of several businesses has supported us through her business. Aaron Castellanos a caterer and venue owner has also been a big supporter of our business. We are very appreciative to them both.
