We had the good fortune of connecting with Brejhe’ Halls and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brejhe’, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I am a woman of strong faith. I would have to say that the most important factor behind my success is God. I constantly ask him to guide my steps in business decisions as well as in everyday life and I don’t feel like I have been steered wrong thus far.
Additionally, I believe that another important favorite is staying authentic to myself. So many people hide behind the glamour of social media and I do quite the opposite because I feel like my story can help and influence others.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets Short Side Media apart is the level of professional intimacy you receive as a client. We work very hard to hear out your vision and execute it in a way that is driven by strategy, your brand’s core values, and creativity.
I am most proud of the growth of my business in the last two years. It was very hard getting my footing in structure amid a global pandemic but I am grateful to have clients who are flexible and down to ride with me. I am still learning many lessons as a matriculate through being an entrepreneur. I’d say the biggest lesson I’ve learned is to not rush something that you want to last. Allow God to guide your path and everything will work out exactly as it should.
I share a lot of my entrepreneur journey and my personal life on my Youtube and Instagram pages (@theshortside.) My purpose for that is to show the world that If I can do it then you can do it too. This journey has many challenges but the reward, in the end, is very gratifying knowing that you did it all yourself and you didn’t give up.
My content as an influencer is for women who aspire to do better, be better, and look fabulous while doing so. I create lifestyle content that showcases routines, motivation, and tips on how to level up in your life. My tribe is small but it is mighty and I enjoy creating content that makes an impact.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love getting out into the city from time to time. I enjoy going to the different food halls in the city (Ponce City Market, Politan Row, etc.) I’m newly vegan-ish, otherwise, you’d HAVE to get some wings while you’re in the city. My favorite wing spots are America Dream or Ameens both located in the West End. While we’re in the West End of course I’d take them to shop at The Cactus Beauty Bar to get all of their natural holistic skincare needs. As far as places to frequent, I am really chill so I like going to St. James Live in South Fulton. It’s a great place for live music and drinks. Depending on the time of year that they visit, we’d spend the day at one of the many festivals in the city, (ATL Brunch Festival, ATL Wine & Jazz Festival, House in the Park etc.) Otherwise, we could in enjoy drinks and food at one of the many rooftop bars in the city. My favorites are Tuk Tuk Thai Food, Gypsy Kitchen, or Six Feet Under.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out to my parents and their brand @thecactusbeautybar for giving me my first opportunity to have full control over the strategy and creativity behind a brand. If you check out the Instagram page, everything you see on the page is my work. From the photography to the graphics, copywriting, the overall strategy behind the posts, everything. A little over a year ago The Cactus Beauty Bar had zero followers so I am grateful to have grown the page to what I have and for the brand to have such a loyal following.
