Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were to visit me, I’d absolutely take her on trips to explore Georgia’s National parks and reservations — I’m a nature girl! One of my favorite places Appalachian Scenic Trail! Its charming location offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban vibrancy. As you stroll along the waterfront, you’ll be greeted by stunning panoramic views of the glistening river or serene lake, depending on your city’s geography.

Lining the waterfront are charming promenades and parks, where you can find locals and visitors alike enjoying leisurely walks, picnics, and various outdoor activities. The scenery is a delightful mix of modern skyscrapers and historic buildings, creating a captivating juxtaposition of old and new.

There are Numerous cafes, restaurants, and bistros dot the area and around Metro Atlanta, offering a wide array of culinary delights. My best friend will have the opportunity to savor both local flavors and international cuisines, making this area a food lover’s paradise!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Today, I want to take a moment to extend a heartfelt and sincere shoutout to God first, the creator of my life and the King who has made me who I am today. He has instilled in me a purpose to serve his people near and far through the gifts and talents he has provided me with. Secondly, the mentors who serve purpose in my professional and personal life, including Milton Little, President & CEO of United Way of Greater Atlanta, Rita Breen, Executive Director of The Georgia Power Foundation, Harriette Ward of HH & Associates, Kwame Johnson, President & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, and many more to name ,for the incredible impact they have had on my life. Their mentorship has been a priceless gift, equipping me with valuable knowledge, skills, and perspectives that have shaped my personal and professional growth. Their willingness to share their experiences and wisdom has provided me with invaluable insights, enabling me to navigate complex situations with clarity and grace.

In addition, My Significant Other, Brothers, Uncle Dee, Grandparents, Mom and Best Friend, Tai Wood, presence in my life has been nothing short of transformative. They have been a guiding light, a source of inspiration, and a pillar of strength in times of both triumph and challenge. Their belief in my potential, even when I doubted myself, has given me the confidence to pursue my dreams fearlessly.

As I reflect on my journey and the successes I have achieved, I am humbled to acknowledge that much of it is thanks to their unwavering efforts, support, mentorship, love, and encouragement. The support they each have extended to me has been the wind beneath my wings. Their unwavering belief in my abilities has propelled me forward, even when the path seemed uncertain. Their encouragement during moments of self-doubt has reminded me that I am capable of achieving greatness. I am humbled to have these individuals in my life holistically.
