We had the good fortune of connecting with Breana Newell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Breana, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
“Traditional education is everything.” That I disagree with.

I graduated high school knowing exactly what I THOUGHT, I wanted to do. That was to get a degree in Economics, work after college, and save a lot of money from the high salary that I was going to get paid at 22 years old, and then consider going into business for myself in Fashion or Music. That was it and I believed it.

By my fifth year in college, a change in majors to Marketing and Minor in Spanish, and countless moments saying to myself, “What do you really want to do?”, I began to wonder why I went to college.

I could have gone to cosmetology school upon graduating high school and then worked as a traveling celebrity hairstylist by now, right?

Or if I had gone to a performing arts school instead of a regular public high school, maybe my talent in engineering music and songwriting, dancing and acting, would be put to good use instead of just on social media.

No seriously, there are way too many of us with the “What if?” scenarios of those years of 18-23 that you just wonder, what if I started chasing my dreams before I even needed to chase them.

I think society puts entirely too much pressure on kids to go straight to college, without learning the basics of who they are, what they are passionate about, how can they help someone else or their community with their knowledge or talents? The big epiphany in life, where you know your purpose and your worth, should happen sooner in life, in my opinion.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
New 2 You Marketing is a marketing and branding consultant firm established in October of 2020. We aim to elevate and inspire start-up companies with SEO Management, engagement on social media, and advertising content for their products and services. Most small business owners, in the start-up phase, are in need a great brand, digital presence, and a marketing campaign.

I offer Client Consultations along with a Client Questionnaire that reveals the purpose of your products, your target audience, and the overall voice and vision of your new brand or product.

I began this branding agency in hopes of creating an easier, streamlined, process of “getting yourself 0ut there”. Not everyone has expertise in marketing, especially with the ever changing digital marketing industry.

However, New 2 You plans to take over your marketing back office, and allow you to retain focus on the quality of your products and the enhancement of your skilled profession.

Some of the challenges that I have overcome include; not having enough content, re-branding my logo and website time and time again, and keeping up with the latest marketing trends.
Time management and SMART Goals are implemented in our team’s daily efforts.

We have the privilege of hosting quarterly Pop-Up Shops with an Open Mic Showcase included. Our VIP Vendors show up with some the most exclusive fashion, cosmetics, and accessories. Our latest event was on July 10th, SHOP & VIBE, which exhibited 10 vendors and 6 artists from across the Atlanta Metro Area. After the event, each vendor is featured on our website as a Local Vendor.
Our next event will be held near Black Friday for a Holiday Themed Pop-Up Shop & more.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My friends reside in the every green valleys of Atlanta, but when my family visits from St. Louis or another city, I try my very best to show them the time of their lives. Atlanta is a bustling place full of new opportunities, beautiful scenery, and diversity. If a person only had one week to visit the top cities then, they should choose to experience the bustling array of Atlanta at least once, given that you experience a little bit of everything from. I enjoy the finer tastes of cuisine so we would delve right into the different eateries they have to offer everyday.

I have always loved Blue Moon Pizza, especially their “Crack Fries” which is the name my family and friends gave Cheese Fries. And the pizza is mouth-watering and made with fresh ingredients. Also, the Blue-Tini is a known drink of choice for those who love a good martini or happy hour.

When I say everything tastes good, I mean it. The collards greens, mac n cheese, and turkey legs, just about put me in a food-coma every time! This down-home restaurant and eatery whips up Southern recipes with tender love and care.

New 2 You Marketing, LLC is my first launched business. Our team at New 2 You is building an entirely new way to brand and grow start-up companies in E-commerce throughout Metro Atlanta. In regard to the most recent successful events and new client acquisition with the company, I would like to personally thank and shoutout Keonna Johnson.

She made me realize that I could be a real boss in the marketing industry, just like her.

I met Keonna in 2016. She was my direct supervisor and training manager at TMX Finance.

As a few months’ time passed, we became more than colleagues, but friends.
Keonna has shared with me and the others she works with, key lessons in business, finance, marketing, and time management.

Yes, she is the Marketing Guru when it comes to grassroots, appearance and impressions, and overall showmanship of an entrepreneur with a hustle mentality.
