We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
This is something I’ve definitely struggled with even more so now with the pandemic. Photography has always been a passion of mine really ever since I picked up a camera, so between having gear stolen, Instagram posts deleted, or not getting as many likes as I’d hoped, letting all that get to you can be really discouraging. But that doesn’t mean it’s time to give up especially if it’s something you’re passionate about. Use that as motivation to be better ,see where you may need to improve and make adjustments. Don’t give up evolve…

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love
for our community to learn more about your work.

From taking pictures of flowers in my backyard to working with the American cancer society and running around to different venues for A3c photography has taken me many places and allowed me to meet a lot of amazing people along the way. I’ve always been an unconventional shooter. I don’t usually follow the “rules” of photography. I just picked up a camera, threw it in manual and figured it out from there. Definitely a challenge but a great reward at the same time. Learning the ins and outs of the camera through trial and error really helped me develop confidence in my craft. I love to see the reaction to the photos I take of people, it’s like you can see their confidence boost right before your eyes. That’s one reason why I love photography.
