Meet Brandon “Breeze” Dawson | Former professional basketball player and Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon “Breeze” Dawson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon “Breeze”, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Definitely my consistency. I had to learn to be consistent with my work ethic, and consistent in my relationship with God. Once I became consistent in those areas, it was like a new world opened up to me. I’ve learned that you don’t have to do a lot, but you have to be consistent. Everyday you have to do something that will bring you closer to your goals.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m super excited about the fact that I get to write and share God’s Word with people all over the world. Even though I’ve been able to accomplish some things, I realize that I still have a long way to go. The challenges have been more mental than anything. Every now and again I come to a place where I start to doubt myself, but God always seems to confirm that I’m on the right path. I’ve learned that no matter what you’re doing, it’s going to take time to get where you want to be, so don’t rush it. I’ve been in some pretty low places before, but I’ve been able to bounce back, and I want the world to know that with God, there’s nothing that you can’t over come.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It’s tough to put everything into a week because there are so many things to do in Atlanta. I’m a pretty active person so we’d go to places like Stone Mountain so we could run, hike or walk. We’d also go to Piedmont Park and hit the belt line. And we would have to go to the Porsche Experience Center. Then we’d stop at a bunch of places to eat, like Sweet Potato Cafe, Eats, Cafe Intermezzo. In Atlanta, if you have an open mind, you can enjoy just about anything you decide to do.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to all the people who have supported me the past two years. My supporters have shown me an immense amount of Love and their feedback has motivated me to continue working on future products. It’s always inspiring to hear people tell me that my books have helped them in some way.
