We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon owner of  Covered Worldwide and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Decatur, Georgia. My background and upbringing played a critical role in who I am today. I believe the situations and relationships we develop throughout life have a way of shaping who we are. I believe that what doesn’t break you, builds you. Life is about experiences and living to the fullest. Growing up my group of friends and I, always pushed each other to do our very best in every facet of life. Even to this day, we check in on each other to ensure we all are on the right path. I have good friends in Texas and California that have truly inspired me to keep going.

Creatively, I’m heavily influenced by the rich Atlanta music culture. (Outkast, T.I., Kilo, Gucci Mane, Ludacris and Goodie Mob) to name a few. Atlanta is now known as the “Hollywood of the South” a title that was earned by the works of some of the artists I mentioned. During my youth it was the “Dirty South” and that plays into the creativity Atlanta display’s today.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Here at Covered Worldwide, we don’t just sell custom apparel. We provide experiences and/or keepsakes you can cherish for a lifetime. We provide the best customer service and the best quality from start to finish. Our mission is to make every consumer engagement experience one of a kind. The rich City of Atlanta culture provides the needed creativity for every experience. Philanthropy is a passion of mine and planting the seed into the “next generation” is what it’s all about to keep our city thriving for many years to come.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The city of Atlanta is a vibe in itself. It’s so many different things to do. Here is my itinerary for a cool vibe in the city.

We would definitely check out Tribeca, Goodz ATL, or Breakfast at Barney’s for a dope brunch. Afterward, check out the beltline for drinks or kick it at a hookah lounge. If the guest is feeling adventurous, Top Golf and/or Fowling are options. Later on in the evening Pre-game at the Beverly or Escobar lounge. The nightcap would probably consist of a stop at the world-renown Magic City or Blue flame. (Aye!)

Wrap up the night as most Atlanta natives, at the Waffle House!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to shout out to My uncle Naji. He paved the way for our family to believe it is possible to own/operate a successful black-owned business in the heart of Atlanta. I started in this industry as a young child between the age of 8-9 years old working a summer job with my uncle at his print shop, All-Star Screen Printing in East Lake. Growing up, it was cool watching a family member, employ relatives to run multiple storefronts and street locations throughout the City of Atlanta. My cousins and I worked in the warehouse, either printing or folding shirts. This allowed me to see how how to run a business at a very young age and develop that mind set.
