We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandi Myers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandi, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind me starting my own business was “I don’t want to work for anybody” lol! I wanted my own. I wanted to reach and serve people in my way through creativity. I love the feeling of capturing special moments. I tend to laugh and smile while editing my images because of those special moments my client and I encountered. I also wanted to break that generational curse in my family of not fulfilling their purpose. I truly believe that if one generation doesn’t fulfill their purpose, it will be passed down to the next generation.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Not only am I a photographer, I also do graphic design, web design, branding, and videography. I’m your one-stop-shop! My colleges and family played a huge part in getting to where I am professionally. With the information I retrieved and people investing into my business definitely helped me be a successful entrepreneur. It wasn’t easy and it still gets hard sometimes. The challenges I face is keeping up with the different trends that come out everyday and also finding ways to connect with my clients and market my business online especially during Covid. When it comes to marketing, I keep this quote in my mind by a good friend of mine; Mike Teezy, “out of sight, out of mind”. Meaning, if you don’t stay in people’s sight, they will forget you. What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I am a fun and colorful person who loves see people enjoy the moment! I am a person who wants to see everyone win!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Hey girl hey! So we have a full day of fun activities so get ready! We’re going to Charlotte, North Carolina where we will have breakfast at a restaurant called First Watch. Then we will head to this selfie museum called Portal Charlotte filled with creative themed sets for pictures. A couple of our friends are going to meet up with us to then go to The Box Escape Room. We’re going to have lunch at Benny Pennello’s in the Noda District for some huge tasty pizza and then we’ll walk it off while sight seeing in the Noda District. Oh, we’re not done having fun yet! We’ll then go to Carowinds to ride the biggest rollercoasters and the best amusement rides! After Carowinds, we’ll head back home to get refreshed and ready for dinner. We’ll end the night at the Crave Dessert Bar.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my colleges North Carolina Central University and Full Sail University for getting me started in this field and giving me the tools to become an entrepreneur. I also want to shout out my family and my circle of friends for always supporting me in my business.
