We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandi Little and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandi, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Music is the vibration of healing. No matter the genre, music has the ability to uplift anyone at any giving time or circumstance. I know that my gift is bigger than me and my success, I know I have helped so many with overcoming self doubt and self sabotage. My New album is entitled BLOOM and speaks of the journey of overcoming and becoming. The more positive vibrations we put out through music, the more of an impact we can have on the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am singer, songwriter, actress, public speaker and a dealer of hope. My artistry comes in all forms of voice, whether I am speaking or singing, there is purpose in each word. I feel what sets me apart from other artist is my ability to be myself. I know for many artist, including myself once upon a time, It can be challenging to be fully yourself. As an entertainer you constantly have people pulling at you and in different directions. It can be easy to fall in line with what “they” want and forget who you are. I’m so proud of myself and my team for the completion of my new album BLOOM. The feedback has been even better than what we expected, my song Different is charting in the UK. That alone blows my mind. We are 100 percent independent and for us to have a following growing millions of miles away is a testament that fairytales exist. It was faith that brought me here today and that’s what will keep me moving forward. I never gave up on the what if… what if it all really happens, and finally it all is happening. It’s not been easy at all to make it to this point and truthfully I know there is still so many mountains I will endure. Whats kept me going was knowing it was no other direction to move but forward. I knew that my faith was strong enough to make it all manifest. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is self love and true acceptance of who you are. I could have avoided so much heartbreak and pain if I would have simply loved myself first. My story is still being written, my past isn’t an indicator of where I am going. I am a woman on a mission, I need the world to know that second chances are real. I’m a walking testament to it all.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a lover of great food. First we would stop for lunch at my favorite Indian restaurant Aamar cuisine in midtown. I love flowers and the energy they bring so we would stop by botanical garden for a day of selfies and beautiful surroundings. Next we would stop by bar vegan for some incredible drinks made by my favorite bartender Britt. Then we would end our night at The interlock in midtown. They have so many different actives for adults, they even have a caffeine + cocktail bar.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without any hesitation I would like to thank my manager and best friend Christina Davis. She has been so instrumental with the success of my career. She is always there to support and encourage me. She isn’t just my music manager, she is my go to for everything. There would be no Brandi Little “The Black Rockstar” without her support. I am forever thankful to have her apart of my team and as a member of my family. She is all things creative, and everything she touches turns to gold.
