Hi BLAQ, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is My Kids. My kids play a major role in Everything I do. They are the reason I started doing music professionally and established my business along with my skin care line, K3. I want to leave a legacy for my kids and let them know that the only way to being successful is Hard work and faith.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am so excited about my journey as an Artist and business owner, It took a lot of stepping stones to get to where I am such as being an openly gay father who is recently divorced and New to Atlanta. I persevered through the normal statistics of being a Gay black artist and I must admit that my music does not only catch the eye of the LGBTQ+ community but around the world. Ive made it my business to stay focused and NOT allow people to put me in a box because I am so much more than a gay black man. I pride myself on making my story heard around the world. I want the world to understand that No matter who says No, you only need ONE YES from God.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Good thing is my Best friend lives in the Atlanta area as well. We typically love to enjoy the bars and clubs in the midtown area. 10th & Piedmont is our number one hang out spot when we just want to have great drinks and enjoy good music. Also Gs which is right behind 10th & Piedmont if we want to enjoy great karaoke,

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to first thank Marco Deprence for thinking of me enough to mention my creativity and craft. I also want to thank my 3 boys Ja’kobe, King and Karter for being the special push that I needed to be an amazing Father first and the pilot to their success that they will soon have.
