We had the good fortune of connecting with Beverly White and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beverly, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
• Every risk you take comes with more experience. You can either teach yourself an important lesson or open a new door to success and new possibilities. Once you start to take risk you pave the way to later take larger risk to achieve greater goals. When I took the risk of starting my business, I took it as a chance to grow, a chance to go through a process to achieve my goal in life which was working for myself.

• During the beginning of Covid-19 before I quit my last job in 2020, I decided in a world that’s changing so quickly, the biggest risk I could take is no risk at all. Leaving a part time job with guaranteed pay not knowing where I would start. I prayed every single night because what is for me will always be for me. I got a text about a space available for me to pursue my career the following week! No grants, no loans, and I didn’t want to use my personal money, but I did what needed to be done. Using my personal savings with no guarantee of return was a huge risk to take especially in the restaurant business. Fast forward to 2021, I closed my restaurant down to move to Charlotte for bigger and better opportunity. The best time to take risk is to do it while you’re young. Taking risk is the way to create more opportunity and progress in life which avoids the possibilities of ‘what ifs’ because even if you feel like you’re failing, you’ll walk away with more experience as well as knowledge which can take you places you’d never think you’d be.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Stick to the words if you never try you’ll never know.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d love to ecplore Houston so most likely we’d go there with no agenda

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To my mother, Thank you for all the sacrifices you’ve made for me. You are the one who can take the place of all others, but your place no one else can take. I hope to follow your lead and one day become just like you.

& to my fiancé If I were to write about all the reasons I am forever grateful for you I’d fill the entire room. You amaze me in so many ways I never knew how and I am so blessed to have you. Thank you for everything you are!
