We had the good fortune of connecting with Benji Pedro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Benji, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking a risk is a calculated guess. You can’t achieve new success if you dont step out your comfort zone. This goes hand and hand in life and when it comes to making it in the music industry. You have try and do things you never tried before to achieve success. You have the plan figured out and you think it will go as you planed but until u put the product out u never know the risk of what could possibly happen. I feel like win or lose when taking risk its Apart of growth and we all need to grow each and every day. The best part of risk you never truly lose when u risking for your career and your dreams you always find a positive out the situation because as long as u try and didn’t make a effort you still gained experience and motivation to use to fuel the next risk you take in life and your brand/usiness
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My path to stardom was unlike no others and i still have plenty of room to grow. One thing about me i always feel like when u get complacent thats how you give up your edge and desire to create art. I always been very artistic and very much in my own head for most of my life and music was the first thing i could say gave me hope to express that with the world. I feel like my personality is what makes me influence my music selection and the energy i provide in my music. I always been a outgoing individual and it shows in my music i can say that the feeling i can give out in my real life personality Inspires others who listen. It wasn’t the best of times starting out when i first started rapping and making music because i was the life of the party type growing up so getting people to attract to me was hand and hand. When I stared makin music i quickly realized this not as easy as to get people to come to party and have a good time than to get them same people to download a mixtape. Its the same people who always loves you but now u gotta satisfy each individual taste of music selection and this can’t be pre planed no matter how much u get into it. I learned a lot from those early stages it takes alot to get ppl to follow your music career but i love every day of the journey no matter how much success i have achieved i want to he remembered as a legend so my work has more room to improve. I want the world to know benji pedro is who you need to know and he coming to the music industry to take it over with a new flow and new energy that nobody ever seen before. We only giving out positive energy and we only do what we do in real life into the music.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was visiting for the week i would most likely be taking trips out of town and we be traveling or in the studio where we recorded and produce. Either that or sleeping lol
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom and my lord savor allowed me to always push my work ethic to the edge and i can never not thank them first. My producers aye kechi & vahnii big help in my music career and my friend stu give ke the charisma to go hard every day
