Meet Becca And Sophie Wexler | Mother-Daughter Pet Sitting Team

We had the good fortune of connecting with Becca And Sophie Wexler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Becca and Sophie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started Pawsitive Vibes, a mother-daughter pet sitting business, with my 10-year-old daughter Sophie as a way to nurture her deep love for animals. Beyond that, I saw it as a meaningful opportunity to teach her life skills that go far beyond the classroom—how to run a business, connect with people, manage finances, and take pride in earning her own money. As a woman and a mother, it’s important to me to raise a daughter who is confident, independent, and unafraid to pursue her passions. This business allows us to spend quality time together, serve our community, be with animals, and empower her with the mindset that she can build something of her own.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
At Pawsitive Vibes, we’re the mother-daughter dream team your pet didn’t know they needed. While you’re out, we’re in—feeding, walking, playing, and snuggling. Whether it’s a drop-in visit or an overnight stay, we make sure your pet gets VIP (very important pet) treatment: love, care, and unlimited belly rubs. It’s not just pet sitting—it’s a staycation your pet might not want to end.
At Pawsitive Vibes, what excites us most is the relationships we’re building—both with our clients and their pets. We pride ourselves on offering more than just pet care. We’re getting to know each pet’s unique personality, quirks, and needs, and we’re forming genuine bonds with the families who trust us. That personal connection is the heart of our work and what truly sets us apart.
At the end of the day, Pawsitive Vibes is about heart. We’re here to serve with love, build trust, and be a joyful part of people’s lives—both two- and four-legged.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a Dunwoody local, I’d kick off the day with coffee at Ark Coffeehaus—a cozy, community-focused coffee shop that serves incredible, locally-sourced and regenerative coffee. It’s the perfect start to any day.
From there, we’d head to Brook Run Park’s dog park. It’s a peaceful, woodsy spot with friendly people, happy dogs, and a scenic walking trail. My bernedoodle Georgia would be in heaven—and honestly, so would we.
We’d spend the afternoon taking a scenic drive through Tuxedo Park to admire the gorgeous grand estate homes and tree-lined streets. It’s a great way to take in some of Atlanta’s architectural beauty.
Being a big foodie, I’d dedicate at least a day to a Buford Highway food crawl, where we’d experience the incredible diversity of cultures and flavors. Stops would include Mamak Vegan Kitchen, Sweet Hut Asian Bakery & Cafe, and Desta Ethiopian Kitchen—each one offering something totally unique.
To wind down, we’d spend our evenings in the backyard with a bonfire, our dogs Georgia and Tilly by our side, roasting marshmallows and playing country music under the stars. It’s simple, but it’s my idea of perfect.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are several people who have played an important role in my journey, and I’m so grateful for their influence and support.
First and foremost, my mother. She passed away a few years ago, but she continues to guide me every day. I feel her presence when I’m working. She was a true role model: kind to everyone she met and endlessly compassionate – every dog in the neighborhood knew her. Through her, I learned not only to love animals, but also how to build meaningful connections with people through that shared love.
My husband, Meir, has also been a huge source of support. From the beginning, he’s encouraged me to take the leap, offering business advice, motivation, and a steady belief in our vision. He’s been our behind-the-scenes cheerleader every step of the way.
I also want to give a special shoutout to my cousin Mindy. She runs a similar pet care business in another city and has been a wonderful mentor. She helped me get Pawsitive Vibes off the ground, and she’s always there for me when I need to talk through ideas, challenges, or decisions.
And of course, my daughter Sophie—my co-founder and the heart of our business. She brings a nurturing, protective, and joyful energy to every client interaction. Her deep emotional bond with the animals inspires me daily and reminds me why we started this in the first place.
