We had the good fortune of connecting with Barbara Heil-Sonneck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Barbara, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Experiences form and mold us, as does where we are from and the values we have been raised in. In my upbringing, it was always to strive and give your best, no matter how big or small the task is or the titles behind the name. You treat everyone with kindness and respect and you always listen. These are values I live by.

What should our readers know about your business?
Design2sell specializes in Vacant Home staging, offering DIY Consultations to Full-Service Solutions. We bring Target Staging and Lifestyle Merchandising to our clients. While traditional Home Staging is neutralizing to appeal to the wide majority, Target Staging is to appeal to the demographic of the most likely buyers. Staging a house for sale is not just making the space look pretty but creating a lifestyle experience for the buyer. Staging a home should never be for the homeowner, the agent or even me, the home stager. What does matter is the demographics of the buyer, the style of the home, and the price point of the home. This Design Concept does not only speak to Buyers, we are serving Homeowners looking to upgrade their space and utilizing existing furnishings. We provide interior move- out and move in services which assists homeowners with space planning and furniture placements in their new home. Our team also works extensively with builders to create beautifully furnished and decorated model homes. We have a wide selection of inventory from our very own warehouse, with a selection of inventory from functional to high-end including enhancement pieces like Baby Grand Piano’s, pedestals with sculptures and more. We also have our own logistics team and fleet of vehicles that allow us to get the job done in a fast and professional manner.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, they always produce amazing creative concepts combining creativity, art and nature. The Aquarium is a must see as well and a stroll through Krog Street or little Five Points. As for the outdoors, Stone Mountain is must see and, in the Fall, visiting one of the amazing vineyards in the Goergia Mountains. My two favorites to visit are Yonah and Wolf Mountain.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A special thank you and shout out to Jana Uselton and HSRA (Home Staging & Re-Design Association, (https://www.myhsra.com/ ) Jana has supported and elevated us and so many other owners of great staging companies and is a giving and serving leader.
